A solid argument can be made that both have influence in Hip-Hop history specifically. How about Truez? From Augusta (by way of Newark, New Jersey); heard of him yet? Well, whether you have or not, I got a little something in the inbox that compelled me to share it. Born Brandon Truesdale in Newark, New Jersey, in 1991, Truez would have been what we’d have called “Unsigned Hype” when The Source was really the source for Golden Era Hip-Hop commentary. Birthed in that time, influencing Truez school music now… that’s what I’d hope for this dude’s career. Linked from his Facebook page, he’s dropped one mixtape – “1991: A.R.T.
