Senate Republican Leader Christine Radgono, a state senator in Illinois, reads a few quotes from Raekwon Of The Wu-Tang Clan & also quoted Rae’s lyrics to the song ‘C.R.E.A.M.’. Dolla Dolla Bill Yaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllll. Yeah!! This is hilarious! Wu-Tang Is For The Children! Wu-Tang Is For The Children! Hahaaa! Classic.

Classic Clips: Wu-Tang Clan Interview From 1991 (Video)

Rap artist J-Zone, who just so happens to also write for Egotripland.com, unearthed some rare footage of the Wu-Tang Clan in their early stages for an interview on a cable access television program. This reminds me that I really need to digitize all the classic interviews I’ve had with artists from my time doing my ‘Strictly Hip Hop’ video show on cable access from around the same period of ’90-’95.

Raekwon makes a stop in Dublin, Ireland while promoting the ‘Shaolin Vs. Wu-Tang’ album. The new album is now available & is definitely one of the best hip hop albums to be released this year. Supposedly Raekwon will have more video blogs from across the pond & this is just the first part in a series of clips. I love hearing these behind the scenes stories in hip hop or the music industry in general like this. They are like little gems of information that are always fun facts to know. While being interviewed by XXL for during their webcast, Raekwon dropped a jewel about how Gza from the Wu-Tang Clan had the opportunity to join the legendary Juice Crew back in the day with Big Daddy Kane, Kool G. Rap, Marley Marl & others. Just imagine….in a parallel universe Gza is making an appearance in the classic ‘Symphony’ video……

Wu-Tang’ officially drops March 8th & Shallah Raekwon has been dropping a few treats here & there on the web like this latest appetizer called ‘Sweep Week’ that incorporates the classic Keni Burke ‘Keep Rising To The Top’ sample. In the video above the rest of Rae’s Wu-Tang brethren give love & remind the fans that the ‘Shaolin Vs. Wu-Tang’ album is on the way March 8th. Raekwon: I Don’t Consider Myself A Legend

From an artist’s perspective, I can agree with what Raekwon is saying in the video above. He’s most definitely a legend in hip hop, but not a legend in the sense that his time is done with the music game. Sometimes when people call you a ‘Legend’ it feels like they are saying you’ve been doing it for years & that your time is done. I’m sure Raekwon has so much more to offer hip hop to even consider stopping now. So I definitely feel Raekwon’s commentary. New album ‘Shaolin Vs. Wu-Tang’ due March 2011
