Technology: Look, Up In The Sky… It’s NOT a Plane. It’s a Super-Zeppelin! (Video)
What you’ve just watched (unless you haven’t watched the above embedded video yet) is a demo vid for the Aeroscraft — a ‘super-Zeppelin’ (blimp) developed by Worldwide Aeros. It’s a very advanced blimp that has the potential to carry cargo more efficiently than any other aircraft. Imagine that – a blimp carrying tires instead of advertising them over the stadium. This could revolutionize long-range hauling in near-future. Think trucking in the ‘skyway’ rather than the highway. Probably won’t get stuck in an air traffic jam… until the rest of us start flying like The Jetsons or something. Very innovative tech. Found a story ’bout it in Businessweek. Wanna read it? Here it go.
