You know that mode that the right kind of music puts you in? Not that ‘mode’ with your mate (that’s more of a ‘mood’ anyway). Talking about ‘do work’ mode! Well, if you do, Dr. Levitin says you are fooling yourself. Better to get an earful of the ‘sounds of silence’ if you actually want to get some work done. Watch the quick clip above.
Daniel J. Levitin, a cognitive psychologist at McGill University and author of “A Field Guide to Lies: Critical Thinking in the Information Age,” explains the relation between listening to music and work-efficiency.

Atlanta (New Teasers)

Donald Glover. Not sure whether he will show more Childish or Gambino in his new FX series, “Atlanta” (premiering September 6, 2016). But he certainly is mobbing us with a gang of mini-trailers for it. Six of them. Start with the first above, and continue with the rest after the jump.
Glover’s character in the show is Earnest, aka Earn Marks. The story opens with his return to Atlanta and his discovering that his cousin is now the city’s most popular new rapper.

I’ve been hearing & seeing Nitty Scott, MC’s name come up more than a few times in the past few months & she just keeps popping up everywhere. 20 year old Nitty Scott reminds me of a young spanish version of Lauryn Hill. I don’t know if she’ll ever reach those heights but she definitely has the raw talent to get there if she wants to. The Michigan born, Florida raised & now Brooklyn resident went in on this J.Period freestyle/remix of MC Lyte’s classic ‘Cha Cha Cha’. There aren’t too many females in the mainstream that could have ripped it like this. I have my eye on Nitty Scott, MC….looking for more greatness.
