The Roots Perform ‘unDun’ songs with Bilal on Jimmy Fallon (Video)
There is no question in my mind that when it’s all said & “dun” the Legendary Roots crew will eventually end up in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. Sooner than most artists you’d expect, but I know they still have many more albums left in them. The Roots – Stomp (Video)
The Legendary Roots crew drop another video from their upcoming album “undun” as promised. The Roots continue to drop a new video every week until the album is released December 6th. The Roots – Tip The Scale (Video)
“Tip The Scale” is the second video released from The Roots upcoming album “undun” which is based on the short life of of one Redford Stephens (1974-1999) who apparently was caught up in the street life but unfortunately met an untimely demise. Check the video as the legendary Roots crew give you a better visual picture as they piece it all together for the fans with a new video every week.
The Roots – ‘Make My’ (Video)
First video from The Roots new project undun. This song feature Big K.R.I.T. Very dope visuals and song.
undun is an existential re-telling of the short life of one Redford Stephens (1974-1999). Through the use of emotives and Redford’s internal dialogues the album seeks to illustrate the intersection of free will and prescribed destiny as it plays out ‘on the corner’. Utilizing a reverse narrative arc, the album begins as the listener finds Redford disoriented–postmortem–and attempting to make sense of his former life. As he moves through its pivotal moments he begins to deconstruct all that has led to his (and our own) coming undun. – The Legendary Roots Crew
