Mercedes-Benz Vision Tokyo (Product Trailer)
Okay, Mercedes-Benz Vision is taking it literally. We posted about a Lambo you might try living with day-to-day, but how about a vehicle that is a ‘living room’ unto itself?
The #VisionToyko has reimagined the idea of car, turning it into the living space of the future. Watch the trailer: https://t.co/YisOTjarmV

Looks like it approaches a minivan or station-wagon design with a coupe’s style. The trailer above hints at a vehicle that can provide a rolling room apart from the hustle and bustle of busy, busy city life and traffic (as found in Tokyo).
Of course, we don’t get to see the inside for real. Rather, a concept with some futuristic 3-D playthings. And no, we won’t elaborate. Watch for yourself.
Too Far To Walk? Nowhere To Park? WalkCar Lets You Ride In And Take Your ‘Ride’ With You (Video)
Wow! Are you seeing this? It’s like they’ve almost figured out a futuristic George Jetson car; one that you can ride to work and carry into the office. Now, if they could only make it fly (like this one here). WalkCar is the world’s smallest electric car, as small as a laptop. Super cool transportation tech! You steer it with your body movements; so it’s not a big effort to learn to operate. This could be the biggest thing is small vehicles EVER!
Soon to start fundraising via Kickstarter. Pre-orders for WalkCar will be taken starting October 2015.
Hmm… Did I say “could” be the biggest…? Nah, this WILL be huge! For more on this compact, powerful mini-vehicle innovation from Tokyo’s Cocoa Motors, visit the company website www.cocoamotors.com
VICE: The Japanese Love Industry (Video)
‘In a society that commoditizes everything, sex sells, and the Japanese are buying!’
– Ryan Duffy, VICE
VICE with another very interesting expo. We posted the one on successful women ‘hiring out’ for boyfriends a short while ago. So, what might happen to a society that, on the whole, does more ‘microwave dating’ than mating and creating families? VIBE found an answer… Less focus on family, and more focus on buying, has left Japan a nation that is dying.
‘Japan is a country that is dying—literally. Japan has more people over the age of 65 and the smallest number of people under the age of 15 in the world. It has the fastest negative population growth in the world, and that’s because hardly anyone is having babies. In these difficult times, the Japanese are putting marriage and families on the back burner and seeking recreational love and affection as a form of cheap escape with no strings attached. We sent Ryan Duffy to investigate this phenomenon, which led him to Tokyo’s cuddle cafes and Yakuza-sponsored prostitution rings.’
