Rewind: A Young ‘Kendrick Lamar’ Parties with ‘U-N-I’ & ‘Miguel’ in their “Lately” Clip (Video)
Recently I was watching one of my favorite videos “Lately” from the duo U-N-I from the West Coast. Â Well U-N-I (YO & Thurz) are no longer a group but Thurz has continued to make music as a solo artist. Â The video was refreshing it had a Cali vibe plenty of fly ladies in it and just a couple of brothers having a good time. Â The video came out in 2010 and singing the hook is a young Miguel who has went on to have big success with a new album titled “Wildheart” that will be released June 30th 2015. Â Something that stuck out to me this time when I was revisiting the video was a scene where the guys have some friends backstage partying and to my surprise I see a young baby faced Kendrick Lamar with a cameo. Â Of course he was putting out music back then and making a name on the West Coast but nothing like what he is doing now how he dominates the Hip Hop charts. Â Well enjoy this rewind video and remember you never know who might be in the background of a video will turn out to be a huge star!

THURZ – “Right Now” (Video)
For the video, THURZ is taking us on a sunny day stroll through the ‘hood. But you can ride out to this jawn (hell, the whole LP linked below, if you want), too. It’s alright. Truthfully, this “Right Now” video… better than just alright. Peep it out for yourself.
Thurz – “Ah Man” feat. Cali Martyr (Video)
Party time music and visuals from Thurz with Cali Martyr on this “Ah Man” – off the Thurz forthcoming “Blood On The Canvas” project. I think I’m especially drawn to this video mostly because of the booty shaking images.
Thurz (of U-N-I) – “Colors” feat. Krondon (of Strong Arm Steady) [Video]
Thurz (1/2 of Cali Hip-Hop duo U-N-I) performs “Colors” (featuring Krondon of the Cali-based collective Strong Arm Steady) in the music video (directed by Mister Whitmore) above. The track was produced by Ro Blvd. Niceness. Not sure if U-N-I “officially” broke up as a group at this point, but The Thurz album, “L.A. Riot,” is now available via iTunes.

Thurz (of U-N-I) – ‘Rodney King’ (Video)
Hard to believe the Rodney King verdict that caused the L.A. riots happened just 20 years ago today. For me it seems like almost yesterday. Thurz, 1/2 of of the Inglewood California rap group U-N-I , decided to deliver this at the appropriate time to remind the heads about that day in L.A. the country will never forget. THURZ is also scheduled to drop a solo album called LA Riots. TheRiotStartsHere.com
