Dr. Stephen Hawking. Theoretical physicist. Cosmologist. Director of Research at the Center for Theoretical Cosmology (of course). Now the all around enigmatic consult to humanity for most phenomena in the universe. But before he became more to the world, he was (and is) first a man, unto himself and beholden to a small circle of folks. This look at the history of Hawking (played by Eddie Redmayne) – then and now – is the world’s first.

And it looks to be a good look.

This trailer for “Theory of Everything” (above) reveals Hawking highlights in the movie – covering the meeting, wooing and wedding of his wife… his being diagnosed as having amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (popularly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease)… and his 40 years of life since. First screening will be the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival on September 7, 2014; with a release date set for November 7, 2014, for the States.
