Why Drake And The-Dream “Shut It Down” As A Team After 2010 (Video)
Ha! Read that title and in for the dramaaaaa, huh? Nope. No real drama. Just grown men. Artists who collab’d for a killer cut; whose time was up. Each ‘reaching out’ in their own ways, their ways just didn’t jibe. And thus, no follow-up collaboration. It happens. Dr. Dre and Rakim, R. Kelly and Jay Z… things run their course; some courses shorter than others.
In 2010, The-Dream collaborated with Drake on “Shut It Down” from his album ‘Thank Me Later.’ In this excerpt of the first installment of Genius Level, Terius “The-Dream†Nash explains why the two haven’t worked together since.

The-Dream – “Black Magic”
This brand new joint called “Black Magic” from Atlanta singer & songwriter The-Dream has me hitting the repeat icon over & over again. This joint is certified dopeness from the ‘A Tribe Called Quest-Bonita Applebum’ drums to the actual songwriting itself. Mr. Terius Nash even delivers a rap verse late in the song that’s executed better than you average trap rapper on the mainstream radio waves. “Black Magic” is slated to appear on The-Dream’s upcoming EP called ‘Jewel’ which is the sequel to his current EP that’s out now called ‘Crown.’ I’m sure you get the picture that he’s creating with a full-length ‘Crown Jewel’ dropping on July 10th on Capitol Records. In the meantime you should do like me right now & just hit the repeat button on this ‘Black Magic’ joint. Superb Mr. Nash. Superb indeed.

The Dream – “Black” (Video)
R&B singer The-Dream drops this powerful video shot in South Africa to his equally thought provoking song ‘Black’ which was inspired by the racist controversy involving Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling. Although the song was The Dream’s artistic response to Sterling’s racist comments, the video itself briefly touches on a number of issues worth examining. I’m diggin’ this joint right here especially a line in particular from Terius’s mama….. “Never be impressed with a man with no message.” Always good & refreshing to see & hear artists get deeper with their music. Yeah this joint ‘Got me feeling real black right now’.
Jadakiss – “Big Boy Dialogue” feat. The-Dream
Jadakiss is back with a banger!! It’s that “Big Boy Dialogue” featuring R&B singer The-Dream to get y’all ready for his upcoming album “Top 5 Dead Or Alive” on Def Jam in the near future. Can’t wait to play this joint on the radio show! Great first single choice coming from the D-Block general.  AH-HAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
R&B: The-Dream – “IV Play” (Video)
Atlanta based R&B singer & songwriter ‘The-Dream” drops some great looking visuals for the title track to his upcoming album “IV Play” directed by Toronto’s Little “X”. The first time I heard this new joint from Mr. Terius Nash I felt a slight Jodeci influence in the music & to a minor degree the video also gives me that feel of their 90s based clips as well. Hot women (the badonk on one of them is amazing), great visual shots, & good music make for a very interesting clip. Be on the lookout for The-Dream’s upcoming album “IV Play” coming May 28th.

The-Dream – “Wake Me When It’s Over” (Video)
Atlanta R&B singer, producer, & songwriter The-Dream drops one of the first visuals from the commercial release of the 1977 project due next Tuesday December 18th. I don’t think it’s totally a bad idea to re-release mixtape projects for commercial release. Chances are it’s going to be new music to most people who don’t keep up with mixtapes amidst the flood of free music on the internet. It’s a win in my opinion although some of Mr. Terius Nash’s hardcore fans maybe thinking ‘Wake Me When The NEW Material’ comes.

The-Dream – “Tender Tendencies”
Atlanta R&B singer The-Dream aka Mr. Terius Nash is re-releasing his 1977 project commercially but one of his unreleased gems that will be added to the project is this rather personal “Tender Tendencies” joint that he will be featuring. Apparently a few other brand new songs will appear on the project when it drops December 18th.

R&B: The-Dream – “Kill The Lights” feat. Casha
Now this is a pretty good R&B jawn from The-Dream featuring his new artist Casha who’s signed to his new label RadioKilla Records. The song should appear on this upcoming album “The Love IV MMXII” later this year following this new 19-city “Kill The Lights” tour that he’s kicking off with a stop at SXSW later this month….

The-Dream’s “The Love, IV: Diary of a Madman” is due March 20th on Def Jam…..

The-Dream – “Love Slave”
Nice new R&B joint from The-Dream as he gets ready to drop his free 10-track album Terius Nash Est. 1977 on August 31st which will be followed by his retail release of The Love IV: Diary Of A Madman later this year. Apparently the free album dropping on the 31st is supposed to be his more personal work to date but supposedly Def Jam is not happy with him dropping a free project for his fans.
