Smooth reminisce about their seminal 1992 hit – “T.R.O.Y.” The song was one on the most touching tributes to a fallen friend and one of their first fans – “They Reminisce Over You†offered in honor of the late Troy Dixon (Trouble T-Roy of Heavy D & The Boyz). The two talk about coming up out of Mount Vernon (New York, USA), the progression of music from their area and the past era.

Lupe Fiasco spoke on the recent controversy over his new song “Around My Way” (Freedom Ain’t Free) that samples/rearranges the Pete Rock & CL Smooth classic “T.R.O.Y.” while up on Chicago radio.
