Lady Anya x Love Ultra Radio Interview with Jah Prince
Tonight we interviewed Lady Anya Kvitka and ask about her new ANYA: EP which features some dope production from snack|BOT and Hippie Sabotage that accompany her strong vocals. Sometimes mistaken for her visual appeal, Anya was a classically trained pianist and loves to showcase her skills anywhere from a small venue to a community stage. She reps for the West Coast and the true essence of Hip-Hop just as much as pop and jazz. One of her tracks will be featured on the next Love Ultra Radio Promotional Mix CD!

If not, just search the site for Elle Varner posts (like Elle Varner – “Refill†here), and reward yourself! Listen to Elle Varner’s newest track, “I Don’t Care” off her upcoming album “Perfectly Imperfect.”
Yolanda Zellous Love Ultra Radio Interview with Jah Prince
Now let me start this post carefully… this interview with author Yolanda Zellous was about her new book ‘Big Boned Women’. I will try to invite her and the plus sized models she represents c/o Star Sized Studios for part two of the interview BUT let me just whistle the song, “i like big butts and I cannot lie….”. In the book the women share their personal life experiences to provide a clear illustrated message that will create a new reflection of confidence in big boned women. This book shows that she is also a ‘queen of all trades’ including scouting talent for movies and plays. Enjoy the music mix also following the talking.

Terry Urban Presents: Nas x Amy Winehouse – “Me & Mr. Jones” (Mixtape)
On July 17, 2012, the incomparable emcee Nas releases his long awaited album “Life Is Good.” On July 23, 2012, fans commemorate the first anniversary of the passing of the unforgettable Amy Winehouse. What’s the tie-in? Leave it to Terry Urban to make one. His incredible mix of work from the two incredible artists – entitled “Me & Mr. Jones” – is a concept that is (to say the least) an unexpected treat. This is an appropriate release in advance of both monumental events; and a good piece of work on its own merits. Respect.

NAS feat. Amy Winehouse – “Cherry Wine”
Another quality gem from Nas’s upcoming “Life Is Good” album due July 17th. This particular single produced by Salaam Remi featuring Nas’s fallen soul sister who shares the same birthday the late great Amy Winehouse. Apparently the collaboration came about through one of Nas’s past recording sessions with Amy Winehouse a few years ago. With all these quality songs the Queensbridge emcee has been releasing all I can say is……Life is Good…. indeed…..

K’Jon Interview x Love Ultra Radio
We catch up with K’Jon and he breaks down how long he’s been in the music game as a singer/songwriter representing Detroit. He definitely represents the Hip-Hop culture first and foremost even if some of his current works ‘sound’ like R&B. He has rapped his way to the top of several Billboards charts with ‘On The Ocean’ over the last two years while still remaining an independent artist. K’Jon has been and is determined to stay lyrically consistent with his message and with the corporate endorsement from OXYwater he is set to be promoted on a national level. Courtney John – ‘Gonna Be Alright’ (Video)
Now it is summer 2012 and THIS is very good visual of MY JAMAICA with all the sentiments of Trust, Love and Community. The lyrics are well put together and that audio sample… or that loop…. NOPE the original production is using LIVE MUSICIANS… that’s what Reggae is as you can see at the very end! Courtney John has been a professional and worked with many international artists but still lives & works on the island. And yes we’ll hear this song on the latest Cooyah Island Vibes Mix CD.

R&B/Soul: Behind The Lens Of… Dwele – “What Profit?” (Video)
The Detroit homie Dwele has another dope project on the way & was recently shooting the video for his latest single “What Profit?” up there in their in Detroit. Dwele has a good visual eye as a self-taught video director himself in addition to consistently killing it with the quality R&B/Soul music, but this time he put the vision in the hands of his fellow ‘D-Boy’ director Darren Brown to execute his creative concept.

Stacy Barthe – “Keep It Like It Is” (Video)
Dope visuals for this track that was a high request to be added to the Love Ultra Mix CD #4. Yes it has that cool reggae vibe so the water and waves fit perfect as we move into the summer. Keep It Like It Is is produced by Grammy Award Winning Supa Dups from the Black Chiney Sound System, and is taken from the “In the Inbetween” EP available now via:

Rakotep (Stacy Epps x Astronote) – “Neva Know” / “Finish”
Atlanta based singer & emcee Stacy Epps has joined forces with Paris based producer Astronote to form the new group Rakotep. I’m not sure where the name comes from or what it stands for but I’m very familiar with the talents of both of them as individuals so I’m not surprised that this spacey soulful joint is nothing but quality. Check out the new singles “Neva Know” & the emcee driven “Finish” track below from their upcoming self-titled album “Rakotep”.
R&B: Robin Thicke – “All Tied Up” (Video)
Robin Thicke drops a new video for one of my favorite tracks off of his ‘Love After War’ album that’s out right now….Definitely a good song to get your lady ‘All Tied Up’ to. Supposedly this is the song that he wrote for his beautiful wife Paula Patton. Winning.
The Flaming Lips feat. Erykah Badu – ‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’ (Video) [NSFW]
Saw a bunch of people on twitter talking about this video for The Flaming Lips & Erykah Badu remake of the Roberta Flack classic ‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’. This video is definitely not safe for work as Erykah Badu’s sister Nayrock gets bucky nekkid in this this visually erotic yet odd artistic clip. I’m still not sure what to make of the video portrait although I do kinda dig the song. Check out the video but just a reminder that this is definitely NSFW!
Dwele Interview x Love Ultra Radio
We speak with Dwele about working on his next album and how he relates to his fans touring from city to city to continent! We also get around to ask him about his personal life… well really about him and his ‘Dawg’ Rockstar. We always love to keep in contact with this artist and anticipate another Grammy Nomination for this 2012 project as he kicks it off with the single ‘What Profilt’.

R&B/Soul: DJ Kemit – “Funky 8Ball” feat. Frank McComb
One of my favorite DJs in Atlanta & souful producer DJ Kemit continues to amaze me with his work. The homie just celebrated his birthday not too long ago with a big party here in Atlanta, but how did I miss this new joint called “Funky 8-Ball” featuring Frank McComb on the keys that he recently released? Apparently the track will serve as a teaser of what’s to come from his upcoming album “Everlasting” due July 17th. The title to Kemit’s upcoming album couldn’t be anymore appropriate because the brotha has been doing it all from touring, producing, & working with damn near every R&B artist with soul in some capacity for almost two decades. I’m gonna have to hit the homie up on his twitter to give him props for keeping the soul going….
R&B/Soul: Erykah Badu – Y’all Feel That: The BamaLoveSoul Remixes, Flips & Covers (Mixtape)
The good people over at BamaLoveSoul put together this dope collection of Erykah Badu remixes, flips, & cover joints mixed by DJ Rahdu. As a huge Erykah Badu fan I have to stand up & give a slow round of applause for this mix right here that features a great body of work that continues to inspire like Ms. Badu has been doing for us over 15 years. You can listen or download the complete project below….
Robin Thicke – “Waiting To Exhale” (Tribute To Whitney Houston) [Video]
Robin Thicke creates a special black & white visual tribute to Whitney Houston as he covers her classic ‘Shoop Shoop’ song which is the title track from the movie “Waiting To Exhale”……
R&B: John West – Nobody (Video)
I’ve been high on this R&B record for months by John West. It seems like his label is finally pushing for this single to be heard & now SEEN by more people. It’s too much of a dope R&B joint to let slip away from people knowing about it.

R&B/Soul: Meshell Ndegeocello – “Petite Mort” (Miguel Migs Remix)
Ultra talented D.C. singer & songwriter Meshell Ndegeocello let loose this very dope Miguel Migs Remix for her “Petite Mort” joint off of her album “Weather” for free via her soundcloud page. Seems like good timing to release this joint right before the holiday weekend for DJs & real fans to groove too. I’ve had this joint on repeat a few times this morning myself…..
