I was just telling people on twitter last month that the new album “Conquer” from R&B soul singer Carl Thomas has some great gems on the project. “Long Distance Love Affair”, “Sweet Love”, “Round Two”, & “Don’t Kiss Me” are the key tracks that stood out to me. This joint “Don’t Kiss Me” featuring Snoop Dogg is definitely one of those gems & apparently the former Bad Boy artist’s team felt the same way about the song enough for them to shoot this video…

I enjoyed watching this video right here of Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre in Singapore for one of the largest Asian music award shows in that region. You can definitely tell their friendship is truly genuine as they clown & joke around & discuss everything including Dr. Dre’s success in making Dr. Dre’s Beats By Dre headphones truly a global brand. Snoop’s new album “High School” with Wiz Khalifa is out now on itunes…

It’s a great business move for Dr. Dre to perform in Singapore with Snoop rocking his Beats by Dre headphones….the asian market is huge & sales of those joints will skyrocket out there. With Dr. Dre making money hand over fist with these Beats By Dre headphones he should go on ahead & release “Detox” as a final thank you to fans over the years & gracefully bow out if that’s what he really wants to do. It was also interesting to see one of Dr. Dre’s sons DJing & hyping the crowd up in this video too…

First video from the lead single to Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa’s upcoming album & film ‘High School’. The song ‘Young, Wild, & Free’ featuring Bruno Mars was supposed to be on Wiz Khalifa’s ‘Rolling Papers’ album, but they both came up with the idea to just lock in & record a joint album that later expanded into shooting a movie for it as well. I think Snoop & Wiz have great chemistry & this cool laid back joint is proof of that…

Snoop Dogg Recording Session For ‘Detox’ with West Coast Producers (Video)

Snoop Dogg gathered some of the West Coast’s greatest producers for a special recording session geared towards Dr. Dre’s upcoming ‘Detox’ album. DJ Quik, Battlecat, 1500 Or Nothing, & DJ Pooh are given a pep talk from Snoop about what kind of heat they need to bring to get Dr. Dre’s attention for the project. This video is really dope because it shows the true friendship among many of Cali’s finest, but it also displays another side of Snoop when it comes to articulating what he wants from a production standpoint. Snoop also makes a great point that if the song doesn’t bang in the first 10 seconds nobody, including Dr. Dre, will like it. I tend to agree with that theory for the most part. It should already go without saying that Snoop Dogg is a huge icon not only for hip hop, but within the entire entertainment industry. During the 2011 BMI Urban Awards Snoop was presented the BMI Icon Award by Dr. Dre & was treated to tribute performances from friends in the industry like Nas, Kurupt, Wiz Khalifa, Game, Bootsy Collins, Daz, Warren G, Lady Of Rage, & Uncle Charlie Wilson. When this song leaked on the web back in January with only Kanye & John Legend it became of my favorites that I played over & over again. I was wondering why Kanye didn’t include ‘Eyes Closed’ on his most recent MBDTF album because I felt like it would have been a waste of a great song. Well it seems like Snoop caught wind of the joint & holla’d at Kanye about it or it could have been Snoop’s song to begin with for his Doggumentary album due on March 29th. This joint is a hit in my opinion….I can see it with my eyes closed.
