Marijuana Stories: Meet The Real Nancy Botwin From ‘Weeds’ (Video)
Well, well… Dr. Dina (former D.A.R.E. kid, ha!)… has been taking care of her patients with recommendations of medical marijuana – patients like Snoop Dogg – waaaaay before Showtime put out the show ‘Weeds.’
‘Weeds,’ Showtime’s highest-rated television show, is the story of a single mom who starts an illegal weed business to provide for her family. With marijuana now being largely legal in Oregon, Alaska, Colorado, and Washington, Showtime’s crime sitcom no longer seems like outlandish fiction. In this episode, VICE tracks down a real-life Nancy Botwin—Dr. Dina, medical weed consultant to stars like Snoop Dogg and 2 Chainz.
Talk about art imitating life! Click play and check out the incredible story of how medical ‘Mary J’ came to spread across the area in Cali. VICE’s Gianna Toboni reports.

Snoop’s Gotta Know: How High Can Kidd Kidd Get? That Question, 50 Cent, G-Unit And More On GGN (Video)
Sure they have an EP out, but why would G-Unit not have time to shoot the sh!t with Snoop on GGN. Curtis and his crew have a sit-down that blends hijinks and realness (like ‘depression is a luxury I can’t afford’ … damn, 50, deep). And when the ‘Weather with Stormy Frontz‘ segment comes on… some real THICKNESS. All with the Doggfather and his faithful followers (like us).
(And yeah, you WILL hear about how in the f#ck even Buck came back to work with 50 Cent. Remember their drama? Google that sh!t. But watch. This is a great watch!)
T-Pain Tells Snoop Why He Let The Locks Go (Video)
Whoa! T-Pain cut off all the dreadlocks. But why? Well, the way he tells it to Snoop on GGN, fatherhood threw him off balance for a bit. Getting a career white hot, balling out of control, grinding for more while he’s got the spotlight, then came family… It got to be too much…not even fun for him. Can’t have So he stepped back. Had to let some things go; some things that were hard to let go.
“It was just some things I had trouble letting go of in my life, so I figured if I can let go of the hair, I can let go of anything.”
So it began with the hair. And it looks like Pain (formerly DJ Pain, always something on which to fall back in Jacksonville) is getting it back together; back into the music. Wonder if that battle with the strip club addiction is on-going (EXPENSIVE habit, we posted on that here).

Snoop Dogg x Doug E. Fresh – “Lodi Dodi” (Live at The Roots Picnic) [Video]
At the 7th Annual Roots Picnic, Snoop and Doug E. Fresh do the damn thing on their rendition of Doug E. and Slick Rick’s “Lodi Dodi” live. Now, Snoop Dogg had a slow-flow styled version on his debut LP “Doggystyle.” But with Fresh dropping beat box heat live… you KNOW Snoop had to hold down his end with more of an homage to Rick The Ruler. Respect! Great performance.
(Catch a recap of the 2014 Roots Picnic after the jump.)
Psy feat. Snoop Dogg – “Hangover” (Video)
Y’all might think I go loose cannon on this site with my posts (well, sometimes); but I run it all past JayForce. Hey, we’ve got a brand to think of over here. Consequently, when I got the go ahead for this new Psy x Snoop video that’s KILLING on YouTube that mirrored my thoughts EXACTLY…
This is kool. The video is very interestingly weird…..The song is just… I don’t know how to describe it.
– JayForce
I had to post it first thing. I cannot explain this. But it is fun, unexpected… and rapidly climbing toward 20 million views in its first few days online. Watch, wonder, and chuckle. I know I did.

Snoop Dogg Gets ‘Deebo’ on GGN (Video)
You know that ‘six degrees’ game where you link celebrities to each other via the stuff they appeared in with celeb friends/costars they have in common? Snoop just made that easy for linking Tiny Lister (‘Deebo’ from the “Friday” movies) to himself. Snoop got ‘Deebo’ on GGN for some good chit-chat… AND got him to smile… big cheese’n (wonder how… hmm).
Pharoahe Monch & Diamond D’s “Rap Life†Tops Snoop’s “Underground Heat” Weekly Countdown (Video)
Snoop has that banging GGN Network. We knew that, but this is a show of a whole other kind. No frills, no jokes, no industry bullsh!t. Underground Heat – a show that is all about the music! Snoop Dogg hosting; sharing his top 10 videos. The top 3 vids and a throwback vid of the week get full play, while snips of the rest are shown. Very dope format! And yes… You (or an emcee you know) can also submit your own videos via the website – www.theundergroundheat.com But come correct… the #1 video this episode is a BEAST! It’s that Pharoahe Monch feat. Diamond D – “Rap Life†we posted on here a bit ago.

Snoop Dogg Talks About Life On A Different High On ‘CBS This Morning’ (Video)
Snoop Dogg was up for another Grammy (as Snoop Lion this year), but this CBS morning show expo shows him in a different light that’s so gangsta in a good way. Nearly 20 years of married life, loving and coaching the kids, no longer toting a gat, and visiting the White House on top of all that. Watch the above vid for that and more. It’ll make you proud of the Dogg Father. On some grown man ish.

Snoop Loves The Kids… Enough To Keep Them Safe From Concussions While Playing Youth Football (Video)
Hey, the NFL has all kinds of media focus on the concussion problem in its sport. But by the time they get them in the pros, those athletes have been bouncing their brains around inside their helmets (inside their skulls) for around 20 years; since youth football days. Who’s attacking the problem at that end? Who’ll get some spotlight shone at that stage. No stranger to the stage, Snoop Dogg has picked up the flag.
There is, of course, a secondary problem that should quickly move to the top of the chart; caused by parents’ fear of injury to their kids. Fewer and fewer children are participating in organized leagues that have positive impact on the lives of youth, like the Snoop Youth Football League (SYFL). Snoop wants the word out that his league is working the problem, and getting somewhere. If only he could get some NFL “oomph” behind the push.
“In my league, we’ve had less injuries over the last two years because of what we’re teaching. “I feel like if we go down to the levels and the NFL comes to the hoods and teaches us what they want us to do, by the time they get to the NFL, they’ve been practicing this their whole life.â€
– Snoop Dogg
Hopefully, what has been a hood-doing-good success story will not fade away. Just peep the video above highlighting good gridiron stuff from Flo-Rida’s and Snoop’s youth leagues. Shout to HipHopDx for this.
Russell Simmons On Snoop Dogg’s GGN Network (Video)
Russell Simmons joins Snoop Dogg on GGN. The Godfather and The DoggFather. Talking about the early days of Hip-Hop culture, about that green (*cough* you know Uncle Rush got down back in the day)… and Snoop tries some “green” eating: a vegan pastrami sandwich.
