From the creators…
“185 Parkhill Projects, Staten Island, NY was a place few people have experienced growing up. LRG Films teamed up with legendary Wu-Tang Clan member, Raekwon, to take you back to the day-to-day life experiences. “Butter Knives†is an ode to Raekwon’s rich history in the projects and even more widely, hip hop. Enjoy.”

Raekwon Says Gza Turned Down An Opportunity To Be In The Juice Crew (Video)
I love hearing these behind the scenes stories in hip hop or the music industry in general like this. They are like little gems of information that are always fun facts to know. While being interviewed by XXL for during their webcast, Raekwon dropped a jewel about how Gza from the Wu-Tang Clan had the opportunity to join the legendary Juice Crew back in the day with Big Daddy Kane, Kool G. Raekwon: I Don’t Consider Myself A Legend
From an artist’s perspective, I can agree with what Raekwon is saying in the video above. He’s most definitely a legend in hip hop, but not a legend in the sense that his time is done with the music game. Sometimes when people call you a ‘Legend’ it feels like they are saying you’ve been doing it for years & that your time is done. I’m sure Raekwon has so much more to offer hip hop to even consider stopping now. So I definitely feel Raekwon’s commentary. New album ‘Shaolin Vs. Wu-Tang’ due March 2011

DOWNLOAD: Â RAEKWON – SHAOLIN VS. WU-TANG Â DIRTY VERSION | Â Â CLEAN VERSION
Although I’m running a blog now I’ve always thought it would be a smart move for artists to release a clean version of their music first so commercial & college radio DJs can give a song some burn before dropping a dirty version for free. Â I understand most fans want the dirty version right away, but I would rather see an artist let the buzz on a song build a little before releasing the uncut raw. Â Just my 2 cents, but its that type of work smarter ethic that allows artists like the God Raekwon to keep winning these last couple of years. Check out the title track from Raekwon’s upcoming album ‘Shaolin Vs. Wu-Tang’ due March 8th.
