Wu-Tang frontman, actor, & movie director The RZA let this joint fly onto the web the other day. I like this version better than the one used on the “Man With The Iron Fists” soundtrack. Sounds way more soulful. Check out RZA in the video below speaking on the makings of the song as he provides more insight as to why there is an alternate version.

RZA is ‘on Cloud 11’ speaking on his new movie “The Man With the Iron Fists.” Directing and starring in it… incredible responsibilities and power to make a lifelong dream come true. Watching Kung Fu flicks since a pre-teen, RZA finally got a chance to make one happen. But to master the art, he had to study with a Master. As he tells Carson Daly on ‘Last Call’ RZA became the willing student of Master filmmaker Quentin Tarantino! Watch as RZA schools Carson on martial arts films and more in the video clip above.

The word according to Ghost: RZA’s studied the game, and all he needs is a bit more time and the faith of his Wu-Tang brothers … and it’s ON! Okay then. Ghost believes. No reason not to believe, as RZA has made more and more major moves as of late. He’s been speaking on “The Man With The Iron Fists” – the movie for which he put out the dope deluxe limited edition soundtrack… and for which he makes his directorial debut… and in which he stars. Snoop a.k.a. “Nemo Hoes” keeps his GGN News Network going strong with the special guests & this time he’s interviewing Wu-Tang Clan frontman/ Hollywood actor & now director The RZA about his new movie ‘The Man With The Iron Fists’ that opens in theaters this Friday November 2nd. RZA & Snoop pass each other ‘The Greenery” while RZA speaks on just how much he had to invest in terms of time & money just to get himself prepared for this movie & also provided a few behind the scenes stories in the making of the film. Not only does the movie feature several quality actors, but it does appear to be visually stunning. Looking forward to it this weekend.

This joint will be on the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack to “The Man With The Iron Fists” (a Quentin Tarantino film, directed by and starring RZA). RZA also speaks on Wu Tang and what’s possibly coming up for the crew and more. According to RZA there may only be one more Wu-Tang Clan album left in the chamber.

Toronto singer/Songwriter/producer & musician Colin Munroe enlists the help of the RZA & Memoryhouse for this “Invincible” track that will appear on his upcoming UnsungHero mixtape that’s poised to drop. From a production standpoint the track definitely has that early Wu-Tang & RZA flavoring to it. Nice second peek into what’s to come from the Unsung Hero project since releasing the “Fight Of My Life” joint with Pusha T about two months ago.

Raekwon Says The Wu-Tang Clan Suffered When Everyone Focused On Their Solo Careers (Video)

In a recent sitdown interview with VladTV, Raekwon spoke on how he felt the individual solo careers of Wu-Tang Clan members ultimately hurt the group in many ways. I can understand where Shallah Raekwon is coming from in terms of missing the close camaraderie of his group members , but trying to feed a 9 man group would prove to be difficult over time. So I’d have to respectfully disagree with Rae on that. The solo careers helped make the Wu-Tang Clan stronger in the presence of the fans in my opinion. Although things have waned a little for the group as a whole in more recent years, but I’d argue that their solo careers have kept the Wu-Tang Clan alive. Not sure about the recent allegations in the news of RZA renting out the Wu-Tang Clan logo out to foreign rap artists though…

Producer Talk: RZA and the Roland MV8000

This machine isnt wildly popular but its as good as any other sampler on the market. Roland has since discontinued the production of the piece but there are still plenty of MV8000 and 8800 out there for sale. I have used one plenty of times with my production patna’ AJ. RZA Talks Sampling Vs Traditional Recording

Some musicians really feel that sampling doesn’t make you a musician and that could be true in some situations but because there are no set ways of how to sample the process is different for each producer. Some producers’ process is the same as any musicians; playing notes chopped from a sample and others may be likened to a DJ the way they match beats per minute of break beats and loops. Kudos to RZA for taking what was meant to be an insult and turning it into a moment for self improvement.
