Rick Ross is proving to me to be a real student of the hip hop game in his choices of producers, beats, his ability to become a better rap artist lyrically, & some of the choices he’s made in terms of the types of artists he’s signed to his Maybach Music Group label like R&B songstress Teedra Moses. Just when I thought I couldn’t be surprised much more we find Ricky Rozay in the studio with Alchemist?! Awwwww man I’m hyped already to see what they cook up! If Ricky Rozay keeps bringing in ill producers like Alchemist I’m positive his new album ‘God Forgives, I Don’t’ will at least bang…

It should go without question that Atlanta’s DJ Toomp is a dope producer. Although DJ Toomp reps for the south, he’s crafted so many bangers for so many artists in the game that his sound can’t be defined by any one region. He doesn’t particularly have any one key sound either. One of the reasons Rick Ross has been successful is because he has a solid ear for beats & I’m positive he’s knowledge about key producers in the game like DJ Toomp. DJ Khaled’s Single With Drake Called ‘I’m On One’ Should Include Talib Kweli (Opinion)

When I first heard this song I thought it was a good R&B record for Drake, but later I found out it was for DJ Khaled’s upcoming album. I haven’t been a fan of DJ Khaled’s recent projects because they had the terrible distinction of being & sounding completely the same from the concepts to the audio soundscapes. From the looks of this video DJ Khaled can recognize like I can that Drake gave him a hit record with this song. It’s easy to see why DJ Khaled is going all out with a full promotional campaign with ‘I’m On One’ theme, but I can’t help but think about Talib Kweli rocking with ‘I’m On One’ earlier this year. Maybe they should find someway to do a full on R&B remix with Talib Kweli doing a verse in some way. Maybe put Talib Kweli on an extended remix or something to those type of fans. Many people probably wouldn’t like that, but I think you should show some type of props to Talib Kweli for rocking with that phrase & song this year first. Judging from his facial expressions Manny doesn’t have a damn clue who Rick Ross is in this video. Hahaaa! The Pacquiao fight with Sugar Shane goes down tomorrow night, but clearly everyone is waiting on that Mayweather Vs. Pacquiao fight. Manny just needs to agree to take the damn drug tests. I was feeling this song the first time I heard it despite the heavy luxury big baller references in the lyrics. Maybe it was the production of the track more so than the lyrics itself that caught my attention the most. Those Justice League dudes really do some great work on the production of many of Rick Ross’s bangers. I think Philly’s Meek Mill has a very good opportunity to develop as a artist as long as he constantly elevates his bars. Looks like that whole Maybach Music machine is already there for him to get the proper push, but he must stay cognizant to keeping his lyrics sharp. Maybach Music’s ‘Self Made’ album drops May 24th just before the Memorial Day Weekend….

It’s hard to imagine this beautiful & vocally talented woman is the baby momma of ill West Coast emcee Ras Kass. Not only can Razzy be proud of the fact that she’s the mother of his children, but Teedra Moses outshines 99% of singers in the music industry with her talent despite not always getting the proper promotion. Imagine how talented their kids could become? Wow. I still bump Teedra’s 2004 debut album ‘Complex Simplicity’ on the ipod from time to time which to many real music fans is a classic in itself. Rick Ross has now signed her to his new Maybach Music Group label so maybe he can help her get the proper light she deserves.
