Meek Mill feat. Rick Ross – “Ice Cream Freestyle” (Video)

Meek Mill’s reworking of Raekwon of the Wu-Tang Clan’s 1995 classic banger ‘Ice Cream’ is outstanding to me. The North Philly kid murders this new freestyle with his extraordinary ability to ride, bounce, & flow over the track with relative ease lyrically. His agility in flowing over this flipped track produced by fellow Pennsylvania native Jahlil Beats is as dope a combo as Cake & Ice cream, Peanut Butter & Jelly, and…..Well you get the picture. Just a perfect combination of ‘Beatz & Lyrics’. I love playing this joint on my radio show. If you still can’t picture it after hearing it then the people over at XXL directed this new video in Atlanta for you to see the vision a little clearer. Check out the brand new video for the ‘ICE CREAM FREESTYLE’ above but with a minor change as this time Meek Mill brings along his slimmed down Maybach Music Bawse Ricky Rozay to add some bars a few ad-libs & grunts.

Fat Joe is going hard on the push of his latest single “Another Day” featuring French Montana, Rick Ross, & singer Tiara Thomas. Although this single is a nod to Queen Latifah’s hip hop classic “Just Another Day” reflecting the good & bad of everyday life in New Jersey, the Bronx-born Miami resident Fat Joe does an excellent job assembling this remake for 2014. The feature film cinematic visuals directed by Salvatore Rubino for the song works well, but the video would have been even better had Queen Latifah herself made a short cameo in the song. Still dope nonetheless.

Ultimate gift: Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat gives Ross’ son the shoes he wore in the game! That makes it a rather historic & special event for a young kid I’m sure he’ll never forget. As the series heads back to Miami tomorrow with the team up 3-1 on the Chicago Bulls it looks like my favorite team the Miami Heat are closer to another historic run for an NBA Championship. If you’ve been following JAYFORCE.COM regularly then you already know I’m a fan of Stacy Barthe’s music. The Grammy nominated singer & songwriter has been crafting huge hits for various names in the game from Rihanna, Katy Perry, Britney Spears & more. She even was the voice on the hook of the T.I. & Andre 3000 standout collaboration “Sorry” although she wasn’t initially listed on the credits. It goes without saying she’s been in the background far too long. This new record “Hell Yeah” produced by K. Roosevelt featuring Rick Ross should help bring more attention her way further highlighting just how talented this woman is. This joint is solid & Rick Ross doesn’t sound out of place on this soulful joint. Stacy is now signed to John Legend’s HomeSchool/Motown label & things appear to be moving as she’s set to release her upcoming “P.S., I Love You” EP on Valentines Day. Good music, real lyrics, great vocals….yeah it’s a wRAP.

The video for “Fountain of Youth” by Stalley (featuring Rick Ross and Nipsey Hussle) is a good look. The song sounds good & I may have to spin this joint on the radio show. The visuals hold true to the street feel of the track as well. As an Oakland Raiders fan I gotta salute Mr. Rozay for rockin’ that ball cap. I wish my Raiders were winning as much as Rick Ross is with his MMG team.
