Curren$y’s song “Michael Knight” is one of my favorite joints from him & it’s evident that I’m not the only one so the New Orleans born spitta rocked it down at the SXSW festival in Austin Texas. Big shoutout to the homie DJ E.F. Cuttin who’s also in the video spinning for the Nawlins bwoy….”Studududududududududududdu…”

Dela featuring Blu – “WhatUWanna” (DJ Spinna Remix)
DJ Spinna puts his touch on French producer Dela & left coast emcee Blu’s collaboration called “WhatUWanna” that appeared on the “Translation Lost” project released last year. Nice remix right here but what’d you expect from a former “Jigmasta” who’s a “Polyrhythmaddict”…….
R&B/Soul: Erykah Badu- “On & On” (Adi Dick Remix)
Erykah Badu is one of my favorite R&B/Soul artists without question & it’s hard not to be inspired by her work in some shape or form. Despite her concert being banned in Malaysia, it didn’t stop fans like Adi Dick who missed her show in New Zealand from being inspired enough to craft this pretty dope remix. Spotted this piece over BamaLoveSoul & I’ve had it on repeat a few times…On & On & On….

Robert Glasper – “More Love” (Tall Black Guy Remix) feat. KING
Detroit producer Tall Black Guy does it again with this soulful remix to Robert Glasper’s “More Love” featuring the beautiful trio of KING. Robert Glasper has a remix competition running so Tall Black Guy put his hat in the race by dropping this joint just a few hours ago & it’s spreading amongst his fans & beyond already. Tall Black Guy is no stranger to winning these producer based contests so don’t be surprised when he wins. Perfect sounds for a sunday afternoon right here…

Producer Tall Black Guy has been consistency putting out dope ass remixes & original pieces of R&B, Soul, & Hip Hop that is rapidly fueling his global fanbase. His stock is constantly rising everyday with the quality of his production work. If you’re an artist looking for an ill producer on the rise then you better holla at Tall Black Guy before everyone else starts hopping on the bandwagon. This brotha’s work doesn’t disappoint. Check out his new remix to the Camp Lo classic “Luchini” & I dare you to tell me that this joint isn’t fiyah! Can’t wait to bang this out on my radio show Saturday…

R&B/Alternative: The Internet – “Cocaine (Little Dragon Remix)”
R&B/Soul: Raheem DeVaughn – “Lotus Flower Bomb”
Raheem DeVaughn is one of the few R&B/Soul dudes in the game that can take a hot record & make it his own. Wale’s “Lotus Flower Bomb” joint featuring Miguel is quality record that sometimes I wished was just an R&B joint. Have no fear as Wale’s fellow D.C. native Raheem DeVaughn didn’t waste any time to crank back up his “Jackin’ For Beats” mixtape series with his take on Wale’s hit record…
R&B: JMSN – “Alone” (Kno Remix)
JMSN (pronounced Jameson) is an artist from L.A. by way of Detroit & this joint “Alone” gets a nice remix from the dope Kentucky producer Kno who easily shows he can flip R&B based records just as dope as the hip hop joints he has with the homie Marq Spekt on their “Machete Vision” album. This joint right here is being added to my R&B playlists in itunes…
Ishe + Hezekiah Speak ‘From the Soul’ On The New Content (Video)
Ishe & Hezekiah’s musical offering, The Ishe + Hezekiah Project, was a soulfully solid album that dropped last June. A key song I still keep on repeat every now & then is their joint “Pressure” that I believe was their lead single before the album was released. In this interview for The New Content they speak on how they met considering he’s also an emcee from Philly & she’s a vocalist repping for San Diego. Ishe & Hezekiah also build upon the recording process behind their debut album as a group.  If you’re running behind on this joint I suggest you go to their bandcamp page or itunes & download the album. I’ve also posted a link to the Georgia Ann Muldrow remix of “Hold On” below as well…

Coultrain – ‘Green’ (Tall Black Guy Remix)
Producer Tall Black Guy does an excellent job with this soulful remix of Coultrain’s already dope “Green” joint. I like the original version, but I LOVE this remix right here. Tall Black Guy gives it a little more bounce & sway without losing the most important & essential part of the song which is rooted in its soulfulness.
Sincerely Yours – ‘Keeper (Remix)’ (Video)
The young lady in the video’s name is Jazzma Crofton?!?!? yeah this song is dope but she is DOPER!!! Song is by Chicago MC Sincerely Yours from his self titled mixtape.

Bilal – “Robots” (Tensei Remix) featuring Adad
There have been a few remixes I’ve heard to tracks off of Bilal’s ‘Airtight’s Revenge’ album that dropped almost a year ago. This one right here sounds just as dope as the original version to me yet totally different aurally speaking. Nevertheless it’s dope to have a good remix to breathe new life into Bilal’s project for those people who may have slept.
Ne-Yo feat. Mavado – I Know You Want Me (Remix) [Video]
Ne-Yo is making good on his attempts to further reggae music around the world with his new Compound Island label dedicated to breaking Jamaican artists. One of the first songs he recorded was the “I Know You Want Me” remix with Mavado. Although Mavado isn’t exactly a new artist in anyway, their collaboration is a quality start in setting the tone for the new movement. I first heard this remix about a month ago, but I didn’t expect a video for this joint to drop. I’m not mad at it either. Ya Dun Know!
