J Dilla – “Motor City” feat. Q-Tip x Busta Rhymes (J Rocc Blend #2)
Powerful posthumous heat from the late great J Dilla with some assist on the production by J Rocc and lyrical content delivered by Bussa Buss and Leader Quest Q-Tip. Check out this previously unreleased “Motor City” blend from the album (linked below).
The late, great J Dilla is widely regarded as one of the greatest hip-hop producers of all time. Since his death in 2006, Dilla’s mother Maureen “Ma Dukes†Yancey has worked tirelessly to further her son’s legacy, and her latest effort is the new project Motor City. Inspired by Dilla’s beloved hometown, Motor City is a collection of rare and unreleased Jay Dee instrumentals, hand-selected and sequenced by Ma Dukes. Conceived as a “letter†to her son, Motor City is packaged in a limited-edition mailing envelope, complete with a handwritten message from Ma Dukes to J Dilla inside. This 19-track collection will be available at physical and digital outlets worldwide on April 21st, 2017.

As A Tribe Called Quest releases “We Got It From Here… Thank You 4 Your Service,” its final album after an 18-year break, Gayle King gets a tour of Q-Tip’s home studio in New Jersey.
ALERT: We have a Statik Selektah sighting. Stat Diddy is in the building! Plus, there’s more of the Gayle–Tip tour after the jump.

Busta Rhymes – “The Return Of The Dragon” (The Abstract Went On Vacation) [Mixtape]
Okay, so Busta Rhymes and Q-Tip drop “The Abstract & The Dragon” a good while back. If another like that was coming, you’d figure they’d be in step doing it, right? Well… Nope. Bussa Buss went and did the business and let the follow-up go FREE while Tip went and did the vacay. Still FREE. Still dope. Get that!

Mobb Deep Speaks On Being Ready For Beef & Being Sampled Often (Video)
When Mobb Deep would say, “There’s a war going on outside, no man is safe from” … sh!t was real? Yes. And they stayed ready for ‘the realness.’ Hear about it from Hav and Prodigy themselves; and the respect they have for those who sampled them (as they considered doing so a compliment).

Thought it wasn’t real? Gotcha. Lil Wayne and Birdman intro’ing Busta Rhymes and Q-Tip on a track “Thank You” (with Kanye hyping it)? Okay, so all that isn’t quite true… but click play. You’ll get the meaning. Actually pretty decent. Leaked in advance of Busta’s “Extinction Level Event 2” LP.
Hiatus Kaiyote – “Nakamarra” feat. Q-Tip
Already a worthy track, putting Australian group Hiatus Kaiyote on the map last year, Q-Tip (of A Tribe Called Quest fame) drops lyrics on an alternate version of the cut. Tip doing his “People’s Instinctive Travels” throwback flow on this one is nice. Relax to this.
