In the above clip, Talib relates his firm stance on artistic integrity; holding that succumbing to every whim of his fans would actually betray them… in that doing so would mean he was not being a true artist. New banger from Talib Kweli that most people who’ve been following the Occupy Wall Street protests noticed it’s the same verses he spit at the rally in New York City. The song will appear on Talib Kweli’s upcoming album Prisoner Of Conscious due sometime in 2012. Supposedly the video is already in the works for this joint. Until the album drops Talib wants the fans to stay focused on what’s poppin’ in the lyrics of this song to better avoid all the other ‘Distractions’….
