Last night on Saturday Night Live the crew poked a little fun at Jay-Z, Beyonce, & their newborn daughter Blu Ivy. With all the media hype surrounding the birth of the hip hop couple’s kid this skit follows what it would be like if Nicki Minaj, Bon Iver (played by Justin Timberlake), Prince, Taylor Swift, & other guests stop by with well wishes. On a side note, Justin Timberlake needs to do more comedy movies or television. Dude has such a great comedic sense & is a pretty good actor…

D’Angelo Working on New Album

Billboard.com is reporting that D’Angelo is back working on new material with ?estlove of The Roots. Apparently ?est tweeted during the a session the two had last night.
“Most people use midnight as a time to sleep. others are working on their 11 year followup. this of course being hour number one,” ?estlove said via his twitter.
Details on the project are sketchy with names like Prince, Raphael Saadiq, John Mayer, and Cee Lo Green rumored to have worked on the project through is long development. The project is going to be released on J Records late 2011 or early 2012.
D’Angelo has been on through a lot since his last release in 2000 entitled Voodoo, with a serious car wreck, an arrest, an reported substance abuse issues. It’ll be great to see him back doing his thing.

The legendary Prince Nelson Rogers appeared on ‘Lopez Tonight’ & straight killed it! I watched it twice last night after it aired the first time. Prince & his band The New Power Generation will embark on a 21 day tour in L.A. beginning today & last night on the Lopez Tonight Show they really did set it off with a bang! George Lopez had me rollin’ though when he called Prince his ‘Puerto Rican’ brother from another mother. George Lopez be always trying to make someone an honorary Latino! Hahaa!
