I respect Fat Joe more than 90% of the rap artists out today. The Breakfast Club of Power 105 welcome’s Golden Era Hip-Hop trio act Naughty By Nature. Notably absent: Vin Rock! What???? Man. Somehow, I’m hoping they work through this. The Naughty has been through drama before (in fact, Kay Gee mentioned his ‘issues’ with Treach above) and got back on track. Watch the interview and explanation of the bad blood – from [mostly] Treach’s point of view. Wonder how long Kay can stay neutral in all this though.
What a mess. Keep watching with part 2 of the interview after the jump. So Naughty By Nature… the full trio… is booked for a show at The Roots’ Picnic this summer? With the sucker punches and slick talk flying about, we’ll see.

Styles P Speaks On The Diamond Life Project, Rock The Bells, The Passing Of Chris Lighty, & More (Video)

In his interview with The Breakfast Club (Power 105 Morning Show), Styles P (the self-proclaimed ‘Elder Statesman of Hip-Hop’) lets us know about “The Diamond Life Project” (available FREE here), that ‘the bars are back’ (e.g. lyricism has returned to Hip-Hop), and that (for the most part) he’s a good guy selling juice at his juice bar and doing his music. On the music, Styles P said he is “working on” a solo joint and LOX is working on a group joint, too… We’ll see. Styles kept it light for the sit-down, but he had to touch on the silliness (read: shamefulness) of the Mobb Deep beef and on the tragedy of the loss of Chris Lighty. Respect. Of course, there’s more to the video than that. Watch the interview for the rest. Good stuff.
