Pittsburgh’s Mac Miller decides to take it back to the soul with this remix to his “Of The Soul” joint off of his “Blue Slide Park” album. Who better for him to do that with than Posdnous of De La Soul & the god shallah Raekwon. No change up in the production from ID Labs, but a few verses from two legends are a definite upgrade for a remix….

De La Soul Presents: First Serve- “Must Be the Music” (Video)

It amazes me that even after all these years De La still finds ways to be creative and original. De La Soul’s Plug 1 (Posdnous) and Plug 2 (Trugoy) will be dropping a concept album, First Serve April 2nd that chronicles the tales to 2 friends, Dean Whittier ( Dave) and Jacob Pop Life ( Pos) and their adventures in music. The first single “Must be the Music” has the 2 emcees comically taking jabs at all the music industry cliches. Its a fun jam that we all can relate to in one way or another.You know one thing that you are going to get with De La not matter what direction they take is a quality product, as they have been in my opinion the most consistent hip hop group.Make sure you run full speed to cop this joint when it drops!!!
