Belly – “P.O.P.” (Video)
Ahaaa! Belly learned his lesson well from that “Jackson 5” video he was in with French Montana (see here)… Load that thing up with thick Honeyz maaaan! Check out “P.O.P.” and yield to the Power (for a few minutes at least).
R&B: Jeremih – “Love Hangover” (Prod. By Pop x Oak)
Jeremih dropped this jawn “Love Hangover” (produced by Pop & Oak). His “Thumpy Johnson” LP is on the way… supposedly. The project’s “machine” has sputtered so far; but there’s still time left in the year. And evidenced by this track, there is still much good music to be heard from J.
R&B/Soul: Jesse Boykins III – “Sparks” (Coldplay Cover)
The Chicago R&B Soul singer does his own rendition of one of my favorite songs from Coldplay. Can’t honestly say I like Jesse’s version better than the original, but I appreciate his version for what it is.
Janelle Monáe – “Q.U.E.E.N.” feat. Erykah Badu
Atlanta based shining star Janelle Monáe is gearing up to release her new project “The Electric Lady” this year. The first new single called ‘Q.U.E.E.N.’ couldn’t have been a more appropriate title with her collaborating with another music ‘Queen’ in Erykah Badu. Gotta love when two beautiful, talented, & respected women in this music thing sit down to collaborate together..

Justin Timberlake – “Mirrors” (Video)
Brand new video by Justin Timberlake called “Mirrors” that he says was inspired by his grandparents. The Timbaland produced song appears on JT’s new album called ‘The 20/20 Experience’ that according to early predictions is expected to sell close to 800,000k copies the first week. Those are great numbers when you think of just how long it’s been since he’s put out some new music in addition to him recently announcing that he has a Volume 2 to this album that will be released later this year.

Michael Jackson: Bad 25 (Documentary)
Spike Lee directed this “Bad 25” documentary that aired on ABC Thanksgiving day as Spike gets behind-the-scenes footage, the never-told-before stories & more behind the making of Michael Jackson’s “Bad” album. This version that aired on ABC last night won’t be the same as the full 2 hour DVD that will be released in stores around Christmas, but this is definitely a must see Spike Lee joint. Spotted via Yardie. Watch the documentary below or click on the picture above to watch the film…

Lady Anya x Love Ultra Radio Interview with Jah Prince
Tonight we interviewed Lady Anya Kvitka and ask about her new ANYA: EP which features some dope production from snack|BOT and Hippie Sabotage that accompany her strong vocals. Sometimes mistaken for her visual appeal, Anya was a classically trained pianist and loves to showcase her skills anywhere from a small venue to a community stage. She reps for the West Coast and the true essence of Hip-Hop just as much as pop and jazz. One of her tracks will be featured on the next Love Ultra Radio Promotional Mix CD!

Colin Munroe – “The Fight Of My Life” featuring Pusha T
It’s been a minute since Colin Munroe dropped something where he wasn’t just the featured artist on someone else’s song. I can definitely say I’m a fan of his music & would like to see him eventually get more just deserved fruits of his talent in a greater capacity. Ironically with a song called “The Fight Of My Life” maybe the Canadian singer, songwriter, & all around musician is beginning to turn the tables with Pusha T as the featured on his new joint. Check out a mini very brief behind the scenes video of the the two recording this joint at Capitol studios in Los Angeles after the jump….
R&B/Alternative: Delilah – “2-4am” (Mixtape)
UK singer Delilah is one of those types of artists who have been releasing some great music that compels me to keep an eye out for what she does next. She has a new full length project on Atlantic Records called “From The Ground Up” due to drop on March 26th (4 days before my birthday…should be a nice gift to me). To hold her growing fanbase over, the Paris born UK raised artist dropped this new 8-track mixtape/EP of sorts called “2-4am” that I’ve been playing this morning. A few of the key tracks I really like I’ve included below, but you can check out the tracklisting & download the whole project by clicking on the artwork & links underneath….
“LOVE DRUG”
“21”
“WISH I HAD YOUR LIFE”
M.I.A. – “Bad Girls” (Video)
M.I.A. shot this video down in Morocco & I’m definitely digging the visuals directed by Romain Gavras. As person who often times enjoys watching music videos & dismantling the process of creating the great ones in my head, I’m truly dig the overall finished project. This is dope. Props to ThinkProgress.org
Trackademicks – “Halfway” feat. Phonte & Carlitta Durand
The Bay area producer who coined the term “Champagne Soul”, Trackademicks, links up with two North Carolina artists that we respect when it comes to new soul music in Phonte & Carlitta Durand. In addition to his recent work with the aforementioned Foreign Exchange frontman, Trackademicks has produced an assortment of great work from artists such as J. Davey, Kid Cudi, Teedra Moses, & too many others to name. Feels like it’s a matter of time before an artistic cat like him explodes with the recognition to match his musical talent. Trackademicks let loose this new joint “Halfway” as a teaser to his upcoming album The Champagne Room due later this year.
B.O.B – ‘Dr. Aden’ (Video)
Deep song to make you think & great video…pay attention yall….the song appears on B.O.B.’s ‘No Genre’ mixtape…
Cee-Lo Green Is Catching ‘Bodies’ With His New Movie Trailer
One of the standout tracks on Cee-Lo Green’s ‘Lady Killer’ album is a song called ‘Bodies’ produced by Salaam Remi. This trailer dropped a day or two ago which suggests it’s an upcoming movie featuring Kerry Washinton & Janelle Monae. I seriously doubt it’s a full length movie, but I assume it will be more of a epically cinematic video similar to the one Cee Lo dropped for ‘Bright Lights, Bigger City’. Not only did I enjoy the song, but I enjoyed the look & feel of the video for that one. In case you missed the video for ‘Bright Lights, Bigger City’ I’ve included it after the jump….

Focus… – The Avant Garde Project Special Edition Mixtape
My homie ‘Focus…’ dropped his album ‘The Avant Garde Project’ in May of last year. Recently he dropped this ‘Special Edition’ Mixtape, but I’m not exactly sure what changes if any were made to it. Either way its still a dope ass project. My personal favorite song from this album is ‘The Vow’ on that R&B soul vibe. An extremely talented individual, Focus is arguably one of the illest producers that I know in the game. This project fully illustrates that ‘Focus…’ is more than just a hip hop producer having crafted soundscapes in a wide variety of musical genres. The Avant Garde Project touches upon his ability to weave in & out of those genres rather seamlessly. Some producers just make beats, but ‘Focus’ can do it all from pop, rock, country, soul, & even latin. As a matter of fact Focus has won a Grammy in the Latin category. To preview, listen, or download the mixtape make sure you click on the artwork or the link below! Keep it bangin!

Theophilus London – Why Even Try feat. Sara Quin
Theophilus London has been dropping quite a few joints I’ve been feeling & this new joint “Why Even Try” is no exception. It’s a single from his upcoming EP called “Lovers Holiday” which I’m assuming is dropping somewhere around Valentines Day February 8th on itunes.
