Big Syke’s Last Interview Before His Death Addressed Police Brutality (Video)
Tupac’s friend & former Thug L.I.F.E. collaborator Big Syke passed away today. One of his last interviews before he died was beautiful because of all the truth he spoke within it.
Can’t say I was a huge Big Syke fan like that, but he definitely was on 1 of my favorite Tupac songs. RIP BIG Syke https://t.co/nfXbTyoOBQ

Black Channel Films: “Gentrified – Police, Money & Ethnic Cleansing” (Documentary Trailer)
The Black Channel Films is working on a documentary that goes in depth about the true underlying effects of Gentrification. So much is happening within the Black community today it’s hard to keep track of all the issues. Police officers have come into our communities and murdered black men and women with no repercussions. How can this happen? We don’t see these murders happening in the Asian community. It’s not apparent in the Arab or Latino community but prevalent with Black people. You cant point at just one location either. Think about this St. Louis, New York, Cincinnati, Charleston, Minneapolis, Baltimore, Baton Rouge, Oakland are just some of the cities where black men and women were murdered. So it’s not just the East Coast, West Coast, Midwest or the South it is all over. One consistent thing is in none of these major cities there are no true black owned communities. We also know that a number of Blacks are being funneled out of certain areas in these cities. The term Gentrified is commonly used and most think it is just simply moving out of a neighborhood. It goes much deeper than that and this film will connect the dots on all the different players involved in Gentrification. Be on the lookout for when this film comes out and we will keep you updated on Jayforce.com.
Explaining how police are allowed to intimidate and even kill to remove Blacks from cities, this clip from the upcoming documentary “Gentrified” features NYC City Council Candidate Thomas Lopez-Pierre with narration by Jason Black

Spike Lee Speaks On The Basis Of His New Film ‘Chi-Raq’ & Elaborates on Chicago, Sex Strikes (Video)
Interesting. Spike Lee and Stephen Colbert discuss the dire straits of Chicago’s war-like violence and casualty rates, the foundations/inspirations for “Chi-Raq” (a spin off the Ancient Greek satire “Lysistrata,” in which Athenian women vow to withhold sex until their men end the The Peloponnesian War), and the possibility of sex strikes on campus in the coming semester after his movie drops.
“I think that a sex strike could really work on college campuses where there’s an abundance of sexual harassment and date rapes. Second semester it’s going to happen. Once people come back from Christmas, there’s going to be sex strikes at universities and college campuses across this country. I believe it.â€

Gun control. Police brutality. So much in a short clip to watch. And you must!

Comedy: Stephen Colbert Speaks Out On Police Brutality (Video)
Black Lives Matter. You know it. We know it. Stephen Colbert knows it. And the problem is not ALL cops. Stephen knows that, too. But there is a ‘but’…
“These days there are a lot of people out there talking about the use of excessive force by the police, and without courting any controversy I want to say that police have a very hard job putting their lives on the line. And the vast majority are good people. On the other hand, Black people aren’t imagining this stuff.â€
– Stephen Colbert
Great to see that Stephen did not lose his Comedy Central-born boldness to go tongue-in-cheek (or maybe sharp-tongued criticism with witticism) on important social matters of the day now that he is on big network TV. Bringing levity while shedding more light on police brutality. And still stay hella funny. Kudos to Colbert!
