Media / Duck Down Music Inc. has leaked the lead single (and the third and final installment to Monch’s bullet trilogy) entitled “Damage.” Charged with deep social and political commentary on inner city killings and mass murder, “Damage” reminds listeners that bullets have no name. (We Are Renegades)” album, Pharoahe Monch alongside the equally as dope lyricist Jean Grae made a tour stop in South Africa for the Capetown International Jazz Festival. In the video above they speak on their first time visiting South Africa to perform, Pharoahe’s decision to shoot a video for his next single “Haile Selassie Karate” while in SA, & more. Watching the video has me anxious to get back to South Africa. I can’t wait to go back & visit again….

Comedy Central’s First Annual Comedy Awards aired last night & one of the highlights was seeing Pharoahe Monch & Buckshot help out Jon Cryer with his new rap single since his show ‘2 & A Half Men’ has been on indefinite hiatus with whole ‘Charlie Sheen Gone Wild’ events in the past few months. The title of this skit ‘Jon Cryer Will F*ck You Up’ seems to be a not-so subtle jab at Charlie Sheen too! Hahaa! Check out more video from the First Annual Comedy Awards under the hood…..

Back then I remember people saying it was an odd collaboration that worked because Nate Dogg was just so West Coast G-Funk while Mos Def & Pharoahe were firmly cemented in New York’s hardcore underground hip hop scene.
