More often than I’d care to, I find myself defending pure lyricism in today’s Hip-Hop. Getting into surprise debates on why today’s music lane for pure lyricism has merged out of existence. Like the highway went from four lanes to three, and that part of Hip-Hop is something like an emergency lane or a service road.
