This smacks of wackness. Folks in Jersey get pandered to for one more season while the team packs their bags for their new digs in Brooklyn. This is basically a waste of a season for this franchise. They’ll begin in the 2012-13 season being a franchise again as far as I’m concerned.

I’m a Lebron James fan & if anyone follows me on twitter I’ve said it time & time again that Lebron needs to embrace the “Darkside” & stop trying to be liked by everyone. The reason he has so much hate on him from former fans, especially in Ohio, is because he allows it to happen. Today Stephen A. Smith said exactly what I’ve been saying for months about what Lebron James needs to be doing from a mental aspect of his game. Lebron is the most talented player in the NBA in my opinion, but he does need to develop that mental bad guy attitude….

I have to agree with Shaq’s assessment of the situation although what he said was rather brief. The entire structure is flawed & that’s the issue that really needs to be addressed to protect the owners from themselves & to have more parity throughout the league so the small market teams have a better chance to compete. They probably need to get these fundamental structural issues addressed to truly move forward.

NBA2k12 is going to drop Tuesday furthering my suspicion this season isnt happening. No offseason for teams to make moves so the rosters will be basically the same from the last updated roster of 2k11. There are new features and game modes but with no push back of the release date I’m sure the good people at 2K Sports must think there won’t be an end to this strike for sometime so they dropped the game on schedule.

The Vegas Impact League is being called “The Lockout League” because of the on going NBA lockout that many think will at the very least last long enough to shorten the season. Training camps are supposed to open up in October and neither side is flinching. Many players have taken to playing in summer leagues to keep in shape. It’s a pet peeve of mine whenever sports reporters use stats from teams that don’t exist anymore following a name change & relocation to an entirely different city. The Tennessee Titans are no longer the Houston Oilers. The Miami Seahawks are NOT the Seattle Seahawks nor the Indianapolis Colts. Most importantly the NBA’s Oklahoma City Thunder franchise are NOT the Seattle Supersonics. You get what I’m saying here? It annoys the hell out me when sports analysts don’t fully realize that when a franchise changes their name AND city it becomes an entirely new franchise. You have to keep it in that proper perspective & report it accurately. Charles Barkley isn’t the only one that feels that way & I have to agree with him.
