Suffice it to say, Brother Ali is a Nardwuar fan. I’m sure the feeling is mutual. But Ali took his admiration up a notch… stepping into the booth and putting down a track inspired by Hip-Hop’s super-nerd media journalist. Good stuff. Listen to “Nardwuar” (the Brother Ali song) below.

Nardwuar interviews Wiz Khalifa in Vancouver, BC (Canada). DOPE!! Wait… did Wiz just give his mom’s friend a shout AND call her ‘ratchet’ at the same damn time??? No respect… Hahahahaaaaaa! Crazy. Nardwuar goes right in with the gifts (weed-themed… appropriate) from the start of the interview… working in a gift with a big wrapping paper for Wiz immediately. Wiz was amp’d for the talk, too. Great stuff. A must watch.

Ever making geek the new chic (in his own way), Nardwuar drops another interview video for the Hip-Hop world to enjoy. The guest: Detroit’s own Big Sean. The venue: Vogue Theatre (Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada). The event: Twisted Productions’ All Ages show. Never ceasing to amaze his guests, Nardwuar goes deep in demonstrating how much he knows about Detroit Hip-Hop history… Sean’s personal history… signature Detroit cuisine… and more! Peep how Nardwuar would NOT let Big Sean get away without a “Doot Doola Doot Doo … Doot doo!”. I get the slight impression that Nardwuar didn’t enjoy this interview with Big Sean compared to others he’s interviewed…

Story.” Turns out 2 Chainz is into real estate and does not eat beef or pork. We have always dug Nardwuar over here. So did 2 Chainz – calling this the greatest interview he has ever had!

As always Nardwuar delivers another great interview, but this time he catches up with the greatest hip hop producer of all-time DJ Premier & manages to get ‘Primo’ to tell a few stories that most hip hop heads may not be aware including the time his homie Big Shug was scrapping with Ice Cube toe to toe in a fist fight, how the The Lady Of Rage was once a security guard who routinely put the ‘beats’ on people, tidbits about the Gangstarr foundation, the early days of Jaz-O & Jay-Z, Frankie Beverly & Maze, DJ Culture, & more….
Nardwuar Interviews Metta World Peace (Video)

You know…Nardwuar does some REALLY GOOD INTERVIEWS! This time he put the mic to The NBA Baller Formerly Known as Ron Artest – Metta World Peace. In this video, Nardwuar still interviewed with the trademark quirkiness that is in keeping with his character; and he showed deep knowledge of his interviewee – as followers have come to expect. In particular, Nardwuar showed he knew a lot about Queensbridge Hip-Hop and NBA ball players who’ve held a mic; some of which was unknown to Metta World Peace (a Queensbridge B-Baller and Hip-Hop head). Just as endearing, the genuine appreciation Nardwuar has for the time Metta World Peace spends with him comes through. Most amazing: Metta World Peace stayed this side of quirky throughout the entire session (quite amiable, actually); not one crazy moment! Well…the “cockroaches” reference…but Nardwuar topped that with the grasshoppers! Just watch. Good interview. Really good!

I really enjoy Canada native Nardwuar’s interviews with artists not only because they are quirky & funny, but you can tell that he also does his research with the artists & the music. I wonder if this dude stays in character long after the interviews are completely done or if this is his real personality. Check out this interview with Kendrick Lamar down at SXSW & a few other interviews under the hood from when Nardwuar caught up with Action Bronson, A$AP Rocky, & a few others…..

I enjoy the interviews that Vancouver’s Nardwuar conducts with rap artists. He has an odd quirkiness to the interviews & depending on the guest you can always get a few laughs as well as some information that most journalists fail to extract from artists like Ghostface who’ve been asked damn near every question imaginable.
