Stahhr – “On My Gonzales” feat. John Robinson x Ekundayo (Video)

“On My Gonzales” is Atlanta-based mc/lyrical alchemist/DOOM affiliate staHHr’s latest video from her “Mother Nature with a Molotov: Molotov Season” album. Joined by lyrical heavyweights John Robinson (Scienz of Life) and Ekundayo (L.I.U.N.S. Den), the trio lace this Floyd the Locsmif track with clever wordplay, smooth delivery and quotables for days. The title of the song comes from a line in staHHr’s verse, where she coins the phrase “on my Gonzales” in reference to one “being focused, handling biz, doing their job, etc”. Director Nick Burnz interweaves elements of “Golden Era” hip hop with live performance footage, playing off of the organic energy of the song and the undeniable and familial chemistry of staHHr, JR and Ekundayo.”

We called this edition of the show the ‘Molotov Season’ edition of the show because just like our show, one of our guests is bringing nothing but that hot fiyah with the music! One of Atlanta’s most talented female emcees Stahhr stopped by the show to speak on her latest project ‘Mother Nature With A Molotov’ & stuck around to debut several tracks from the project.
We also have a special guest interview from a crew representing the Soul Food Cypher. The Soul Food Cyphers take place every Sunday in Atlanta where talented emcees, singers, & poets can jam with each other to further sharpen their skills.

One of Atlanta’s most gifted emcees of the female variety Stahhr drops a new joint produced by Lex Boogie to get fans ready for Molotov Season in April 2012. Having worked with artists like MF Doom & countless others over her career & getting spins on programs like DJ Premier’s Sirius XM satellite radio show she’s now poised to drop her second full length album “Mother Nature with a Molotov: Molotov Seasonâ€.  StaHHr was most recently featured in the March 2012 issue of The Source magazine, sharing her views on women in hip hop in the “The Plight of the Female MC†article.
