“The car business, in general, is a tough business. The car rental business, even more so. Anybody who finds out they can make money and drive a Ferrari, I mean, they’re diving in head first,†says Matt Cruz, owner of MVP Exotic Rentals, a legitimate luxury car rental business based in Miami. But when everybody wants to be a celebrity, how to you tell the difference between faking it and making it? The game is finesse, and with the allure of getting behind the wheel of the world’s most expensive cars, who wouldn’t want to play? In a world where likes and fame can be bought and the filtered facade of Instagram reigns supreme, VICE meets some of the legit — and the not-so-legit — players that cater luxury car rentals to the biggest rappers, athletes, and celebrities of the moment.

All across Miami, you’ll find countless tags done by MSG—the Miami Style Gods, a graffiti crew that’s been around since the early 90s. And two decades later, they’re still bombing as many walls, highway signs, bridges, billboards, and abandoned buildings as they can find.
VICE met up with members of the crew—who believe their trade is vandalism, not art—to find out why they’re so dedicated to a trade that makes no money and is often dangerous, from altercations with the cops to dangling over busy highways.

Definition Of A Down A** Chick: Miko Grimes (Video)

Full disclosure: I really did not know who Miko Grimes was. Not important. Her eventual husband did, and while we might infer that things weren’t always heavenly, hearing her talk about how she rides for him… man… intense! Might even say HOT. Something very ’90s Hip-Hop about this Gangsta Chick. Gotta admit that I like it. Even though I know she’s a handful.
Okay, two handfuls (wink). Do you SEEEEE that top? Fitting her where she’s so gifted. Wowzers!
Suffice it to say, Miko Grimes is the business. But she is well-informed and about her business, so you really gotta hope her man (husband, Brent Grimes, pro ball player) stays on point. Miko’s outspoken on some of everything: from the treatment of NFL players, shutting down groupies and hangers-on, and much more (as shown in the sit-down vid above).
Regarding career ups & downs for her former Falcon, then former Dolphin, hubby Brent, Miko gives her side of those goings down, too. Again I say WOW. Of course, I know Miko would absolutely DESTROY me (I’d fall too hard and stay down). But ohhhh, what a way to go!

Art & Music: The “787 Graffiti Ball” Visually Captured By Atlanta’s ‘Hometown Heroes’ (Video)

One thing about Atlanta is the range of events that happen here. Whether it is a Hip Hop Show, EDM or the Ballet & Symphony. Or it could be a Falcons, Hawks, Braves game or NASCAR event. Besides those well known events you have cool niche events like BonFire ATL, Elevated ATL and 787 Graffiti Ball. The 787 Graffiti Ball recently went down here in Atlanta at 787 Windsor St. An event where the first 250 people who RSVP’d got a free spray can for the event.
What is Graffiti Ball ? Well it is a night dedicated to the art of Scribbling, Scratching, and Defacing. Not only is it a chance for the everyday person to do some graffiti without having to look over their shoulders for cops. Some of the biggest and emerging aerosol artists are brought together ranging from NYC, Miami, and of course here in Atlanta. One of the well known ATL artists represented was DR. Great to see the success former Atlanta resident Walshy Fire has been having down in Miami especially as a member of Major Lazer with Philly DJ/producer Diplo. Seemed like yesterday when I’d always see him at many of the reggae events around the city of Atlanta. Fast forward several years & he continues to be active down there in Miami as well. As many people arrive in Miami this weekend primarily for the Winter Music Conference, Walshy hosts this special “Potato Travel Guide” to Miami for those who are in town now & those who plan to visit in the near future….

In this final season episode of the show Eddie takes his talents BEYOND the glitzy lights of South Beach & ventures into the neighborhoods for the best restaurants & food tourists overlook when visiting Miami. True to the mission of his show Eddie stays off the beaten path by spending time with the porn industry’s “World Famous” Bang Bros team & adult film star Jada Stevens, enjoys some time with the unofficial Mayor of Miami Uncle Luke, hits Little Haiti to enjoy some authentic Haitian cuisine, & enjoys a Miami Dolphins tailgate. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect for Eddie & his producers at VICE to release this Miami edition of the show while the city has been enjoying the success of another Miami Heat NBA Championship run & wins being posted by the nationally ranked University of Miami Hurricanes basketball team. Big Boi Arrested On Multiple Felony Drug Charges In Miami

“Hip-hop artist Antwan “Big Boi” Patton, one half of the legendary hip hop group Outkast, faces three felony counts of possession of a controlled substance & one count of possession of drug paraphernalia according to booking information posted on the Miami-Dade jail website.
Patton was charged with illegal possession of Viagra and Ecstasy pills, MDMA powder and drug paraphernalia with intent to use, the website said. Bonds totalling $16,000 were set, the site said.
His lawyer, in a statement provided to CNN through his publicist, said Patton was re-entering the United States when the contraband was found.
“While Big Boi was traveling with his group and friends, a small amount of contraband was found in the collective luggage,” attorney Daniel Kane said. “I am confident when the entire facts are aired Big Boi will be completely exonerated.”
Patton, 36, is half of the Atlanta-based hip-hop duo Outkast.
OutKast collaborator Killer Mike told CNN last week that Big Boi has reunited with Andre “3000” Benjamin to record again.
