‘Blade’ Paved The Way For All The MCU Blockbusters That Would Follow (Video)
Not everyone, but many folks ignore or outright diss the ‘Blade’ contribution to what Marvel has offered the movie world.
(Looking at you, too, ‘Deadpool’… ‘Blade: Trinity’ was my fave of the series, but you take shots at it. Hannibal King foreverrr!)
Check out this discussion clip giving the props that Marvel’s first Black hero [before all the #WakandaForever stuff] movie deserves.
And yes, ‘Black Panther’ is a far better movie than anything in the ‘Blade’ franchise. Not the point though. Just saying it before the haters do.

The Latest Offering Of The X-Men Franchise, “Dark Phoenix,” Hits The Big Screen June 7th (Trailer)
Well, well. The old run of the ‘X-Men’ blockbusters starting around the turn of the century put out a take on The Phoenix Saga. But this version though… Maaaaan, LET’S GO!
In DARK PHOENIX, the X-MEN face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiraling out of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite — not only to save Jean’s soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy.

New trailer. Got pushed back a bit from before (earlier post here) but you won’t be mad after watching this.
Marvel Studios’ “Captain Marvel” Releases An Epic Second Teaser (Trailer)
The answer to the pop quiz – ‘Who does Nick Fury call when Thanos snaps half the Universe out of existence, including himself, before disintegrating into nothingness?’ – is Captain Marvel! But what makes… her… so… specia… OH!

“X-Men: Dark Phoenix” Hits Theaters Valentine’s Day 2019 (Trailer)
Surely comic book version purists were miffed at when the X-Men movie franchise messed with several storylines in the first trilogy (esp. in ‘The Last Stand’… Cain Marko aka Juggernaut is NOT a mutant). But this “Dark Phoenix” might, just might, try to steer in the direction of comic canon.
See, in ‘The Last Stand’ Jean Grey did all she could (with Professor X’s …um …help) to control the Dark Phoenix within. But we had no idea where the Phoenix came from. It was like Jean had a super-powered schizophrenic evil alter ego; one that was just there, that Xavier wouldn’t dare let Jean let out. Which likely left longtime ‘X-men’ readers yelling at the screen: HELLO! Phoenix is a COSMIC entity! Where’s the outer space part of the story!???!
Well, fingers crossed, the trailer above could be letting us know that they are going there. FINALLY! Saw a little bit of a space trip in there, but look and see if you see it, too.
(Plus, the teaser text after the jump. Really promising the good goods!)
So far, the ‘prequel’ and ‘alternate’ storyline movies (‘First Class,’ ‘Days Of Future Past,’ and ‘Apocalypse’) of the franchise have scaled up well as far as ‘popcorn effect’ goes… complex story arcs, conflicted characters, BIG explosions and massive destruction scenes from torn down cityscapes to ripped up ocean floors. And a plethora of X-Men are in play (most everyone but Wolverine, unless you count quick cameos). So whatever they choose to do with them and this story we can trust it’ll be epic, well worth the price of admission.
Of course, we will know that for sure by February of next year!
Marvel Introduces A New ‘Captain’ To The Universe (Trailer)
Whoooooaaaa! That looks like it’s gonna be DOPE!
That should be the tagline for almost every Marvel Comic Universe film. Including this one, “Captain Marvel.” Watch the trailer, and have your own reaction to, for Marvel Studios’ latest, in theaters March 8, 2019.
“Avengers: Infinity Wars” Just Hit Theaters, And Now Marvel Drops An Extended Teaser For “Ant-Man & The Wasp” (Trailer)

Is Marvel trying to take DC out? Asking for a friend (who may or may not be worried about DC’s survival in the coming months). Check it. “Black Panther” was the Spring face smash across the movie industry… Then “Avengers: Infinity Wars” followed up with the heart stomp… and they still have “Deadpool 2” and “Ant-Man & The Wasp”. Plus all the Marvel TV series coming back and coming soon this summer and fall AND the Netflix game Marvel is killing.
Oh wait, I’m sorry. DC had a good debut season for “Black Lightning.” Respect. But that about it.
Just watch the trailer. And somebody tell DC to step it up over there!
A New “Deadpool 2” Teaser… Yes, Please! (Trailer)

— 20th Century Fox (@20thcenturyfox) March 22, 2018
This “Deadpool 2” is gonna be so hilariously snarky and gory and ooohhh soooo right! Plus… X-FORCE (the way Deadpool says it though *bwaaaahahaaa*). Brolin’s performance as Cable looks bad azz af, too!
‘Deadpool 2’ (And Cable) Coming To A Theater Near You In May 2018 (Trailer)
“Deadpool” was an epic cinematic bonus chapter of the Marvel Entertainment movie anthology. Take that part seriously, but not much else… even the serious characters. Like Cable: serious dude. But in this wacky Wade Wilson world, best believe you will be getting in quite a few chuckles.
After surviving a near-fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.

See? Can’t even be serious in the trailer write-up.
(Sidebar: How did Josh Brolin land the role of Thanos AND this Cable role?? Those are some huge Marvel characters; with a huge chasm between them in the Universe.)

Wow. So they are gonna slip this Marvel Universe movie in right quick. Okay. The last one was good. Wonder if T.I. will make an appearance somewhere in this sequel, too. Either way, Pym particle power-packed fun for everyone. Check out the “Ant-Man And The Wasp” trailer.

Have You Seen The New “Black Panther” Teaser Yet? Epic! (Trailer)
No disrespect to the Alabama vs. Georgia National Championship Game, or that Kendrick Lamar halftime set, but this special look at the Marvel Universe’s next blockbuster – “Black Panther” – was a highlight for the night.
That’s why we’re leaving it right… here… watch!
Best. “Black Panther” Teaser. Ever!! (Trailer)
Okay, so Wakanda is not real. But styling its geography, geopolitics, and people makes the “Black Panther” movie real enough to reward watchers for agreeing to suspend disbelief. In other words, we don’t feel stupid for believing in vibranium-fueled fights… in ancient hidden cities laden with high-tech… spaceship-looking flying back-and-forth… bustling cityscapes where many random vehicles, streets and buildings get wrecked…
If the storytelling is good, we will be here for it all. And from what this trailer is showing us, the storytelling is gonna be good.
Action-packed but so ‘real’ and so good! So really good it’s surreal!
Enjoy the trailer thoroughly.
Netflix Teases Marvel’s “The Punisher” Series (Coming Late 2017) [Trailer]
Not sure if you got your binge on with all “The Defenders” episodes yet, but apparently Netflix is not playing with y’all on the Marvel Universe front. Already dropped that new trailer for “The Punisher” – Marvel’s deadly antihero series set to release later this year. And for those who know, that sledgehammer wouldn’t just be for show).
According to ScreenRant, the episode titles will be 3 AM, Two Dead Men, Kandahar, Resupply, Gunner, The Judas Goat, Crosshairs, Cold Steel, Front Toward Enemy, Virtue of the Viscous, Danger Close, Home and Momento Mori.
Of course, these are TEASERS, so don’t expect all the red meat from what you see. Just enough to pique your interest… But recognize, some very bad people’s lives are gonna end very badly… on Netflix this year.
Hulk And Thor Are Fighting? Loki Is Teaming With Both Of Them? It Must Be “Ragnarok” (Video)
Careful Marvel. The Hulk is doing a LOT of talking in this trailer. That’s one of the several ways Ang Lee messed up in ‘that movie we Marvel fans don’t talk about’… and I’m REALLY trying hard to forget that Hulk movie. Keep it to two or three words at a time. Like ‘Hulk SMASH!’
That said, it looks good. The trailer I mean. A lot closer to a “Guardians Of The Galaxy” look and feel. Watch and get ready for November!

The Latest “Black Panther” Teaser Features Epic Effects And Dialogue (Trailer)
Hahaaa! Yes! Brothers caught a full on nerdgasm from the release (pause) of the latest action-drama packed “Black Panther” movie trailer. See one such reaction and review after the jump.
Looking good Marvel Universe. Looking good!
New Animated Lego Video Game Features Many Marvel Universe Heroes Battling Kang The Conqueror Across Time (Trailer)
Ohhhhh! This is a trailer for a video game? I thought it was teasing some kind of epic movie – like how they did the Lego Batman joints. Maybe they will make a Marvel mashup movie down the road. At least we get this dope trailer. Game’s probably fun, too.
Go head-to-head with the time-traveling Kang The Conqueror in an epic battle across Chronopolis, from Ancient Egypt and The Old West to Sakaar and New York City in 2099. Along the way, gamers will be able to take control of a host of iconic characters, from Cowboy Captain America from the past to Spider-Man 2099 from the future along with Thor, Hulk, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Green Goblin, and dozens of other Marvel Super Heroes and Super Villains.

Thor calling out Kang The Conqueror though. Epic!

Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger (Series Trailer)
Good move for Marvel for 2018: Push further into TV. DC is doing it… very well… on The CW (Supergirl, The Flash, Legends Of Tomorrow, Arrow) and Fox (Gotham). Five shows to Marvel’s one-and-a-half (Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. with Legion counting as a ‘half’ for now).
And this trailer for Marvel’s “Cloak & Dagger” – set to debut on Freeform (formerly ABC Family). DOPE!
(Plus, Marvel is already RULING all on Netflix. Maaaan!)
Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 (Latest Trailer)
Alright. That’s it! “Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2” is gonna be that heat to take us into summer. Easy bet. Unless they smoked all the plot pot doing this trailer. Not hardly, but just saying. Hell, the dots and dashes handheld football game from back in the day in there was enough. Done. Haaaha!
Big action sci-fi fantasy with big guns and blasts. Alien eye candy. Comedic timing. Everything you need for a space epic in the Marvel Universe. Watch and enjoy!
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (Teaser Trailer)
Baahaaaha! Man, Dave Bautista is acting a fool in these clips. He could end up running away with the lion share of attention (and laughs) in this sure-bet blockbuster. Set for theatrical release late Spring (May) 2017, check out this latest dopest “Guardians of the Galaxy” (Vol. 2) flick.
