Brian “B.Kyle” Atkins shot and edited something beautiful for Maimouna Youssef’s extremely inspiring song “We’re Already Royal” (her cover for Lorde’s “Royals”). The single is on Maimouna’s forthcoming mixtape, “The Reintroduction of Mumu Fresh.” Modern day African American community holding the same core values, morals, and ethics throughout history. Ancestral memory is the way Youssef put it. Love that. Kings and Queens – that’s who we are!

I really appreciate how they worked with the people in their region, folks they know and respect. This tape is as much a showcase of their skills on the mic as it is their region.
