Hubbs – “Buck” feat. Skyzoo (Prod. By M16)
So, y’all may recognize the trackmaster M16 Grammy-nominated Alabama native (Tuscaloosa, Roll Tide, that’s right) – producer of Playaz Circle’s “Duffle Bag Boy” and “I Do” by Jeezy (featuring Andre 3000). And I know followers of this site know Skyzoo. Now, about Hubbs. Nice! From what I could dig up, he’s repping Steel City (Pittsburgh, PA, USA), and he has an album coming out (“Black Privilege”) soon. So, there’s that… and more in this bio he has up on ReverbNation:
Hip-Hop artist, Hubbs, was born in Pittsburgh, PA. His mother, a native resident of the Hill District (Elmore Square) section of Pittsburgh, and father, from Cleveland, OH, moved to Penn Hills, an eastern suburb of Pittsburgh, at this time, to raise their family which also consisted of one older son. Hubbs’ primary inspiration in Hip-Hop, which peaked in the mid 90’s, was influenced by artists and groups such as Notorious B.I.G. and Nas, Jay-Z, Mobb Deep, AZ, The Lox, Wu-Tang Clan, and recalls listening to DJ Clue, Cutmaster C, Ron G, and Doo Wop underground mixtapes. As Hubbs reflects on his beginnings of rhyming, he mentions “I remember my man Sha-King approached me in 9th grade, and asked me and my man Mike if we’d be interested in being in the school talent show with him. Sha-King had been rhyming for years by that point, but Mike and I had only written rhymes on occasion, just out of hobby. But we agreed to, came up with this song over some ill instrumental with this Biggie voice sample in the hook, and killed the talent show. We were on some young don sh*t (laughs), rockin’ trench coats and suits and all that. I had the last verse, and I remember cats in the crowd goin’ nuts when I came out and spit my verse. That’s when I knew I had some talent, and also that I enjoyed rhyming and performing.”
Okay, that ought to be enough to allow you to enjoy this “Buck” joint without having to ‘act’ like you know. Haaa!

“This rap bread sweeter than a honey bun… f#ck a b!tch, I’d rather see this money come.”
– CyHi The Prince
Producer M16 laying out another track on the “Black Hystori Project” mixtape for CyHi to run over. Done. This “3:16” is perfection in the form of bars… Ear candy. Visuals don’t really feature eye candy, but dope nonetheless. Check the vid and verses. A wholly unholy spiritual experience.
Jarren Benton – “Gimmie The Loot” (Produced By M16) [Video]
Jarren Benton might ‘tear the club up like a ACL’ with this one. Only the craziest beats (and visuals) will suit Benton. M16 (Tuscaloosa, Alabama, stand up!) came through with the sick track for this “Gimmie The Loot.” Jakob Owens is responsible for the visual mayhem above.
CyHi The Prynce – “Napoleon” (Produced By M16)
