Chris Orrick has always resonated with us b/c every line, every bar, every word, is him searching his soul for, wrestling with, and delivering his innermost truths with complete vulnerability. This is exactly what “Sounds Beautiful Like The Truth” was meant to express when we started Mello Music Group. The idea that when artist’s truly offer their heart then it comes alive and pulses with life – becomes something meaningful and breathing. This is true for music and art, but is also the same place comedy comes from, so it’s no wonder Chris Orrick often elegantly walks the line between comedy & tragedy.

You may now kiss… the gas masks? Um…interesting visuals for “Need You” (featuring Blu) off the L’Orange LP entitled “The Orchid Days” (out now). Watch closely. Twice. Think the theme comes through clearly on the second run. Adam and Eve…wedded bliss…communing with each other…but not really…enjoying the beautiful Garden…but not really… The gas masks have got to come off… assuming they were on to keep them alive… the two decide to take them off so they can truly live the rest of their beautiful lives together… however short a lifetime they would then share.
