Jon Stewart Goes In On The So-Called ‘Problem’ of Voter Fraud (Video)

Gotta love Jon Stewart! Always bringing the B.S. to light in a lighthearted way. In this segment of ‘The Daily Show’ – “Wizards of I.D.” – Jon points out that Conservatives and Fox News seem REALLY driven to uncover and stamp out voter fraud – which is occurring only a scant percentage of the time in elections. Oh… by the way… the strongest anti-voter fraud efforts are being made mostly in swing states with Republican-controlled legislatures! But hey… Maybe it’s a coincidence. Ha! Don’t believe it. But if you do believe that, might I interest you in a bridge I am selling in Brooklyn? Some Arizona swamp land perhaps? More after the jump…

Economist Dambisa Moyo Says China Beating the U.S. By Investing In Emerging Markets on ‘The Daily Show with Jon Stewart’ (Video)

Damn, I HAVE SUCH A CRUSH on Dr. Dambisa Moyo, International Economist from The Gambia (Africa). Don’t tell me intelligence isn’t SEXY. Whew! Maaannn, I would have listed her as Eye Candy (because she is); but I want you to focus on what she is saying first. Among other points made: The way in which China (as the world’s largest remaining Communist power) is engaging emerging economies is MORE POPULAR and MORE EFFECTIVE than that of the Western World (e.g. of the United States). We must listen and learn; or to quote a favorite artist of mine, “Get right or Get Left!” (Shout out to Anderson Scott of The 5ive.)

Like him or love him, Jon Stewart has a regular guy’s understanding of a lot of things…makes him easy for anyone to relate to. Couple that with the outstanding guests his people book for the show – like Victor Cruz – and you’ve got a winner! Peep the interview. In less than six minutes (go ahead and run “The Show” sample in your head; I’ll wait), Jon leads Victor through a talk on going from walk-on-taking-a-shot to still-humble-superstar. George Lucas Says Hollywood Didn’t Want To Fund “Red Tails” Because Of Its Black Cast (Video)

George Lucas, known as one of the greatest filmmakers of our time, stopped by the Daily Show with Jon Stewart to promote the new film “Red Tails” that hits theaters January 20th. The Star Wars filmmaker provided some insight as to why Hollywood wouldn’t back the film that’s based on the lives of the Tuskeegee Airmen because the movie’s all black cast.

Back in the day on MTV Jon Stewart had an hour long talk show in the 90s similar to the David Lettermans, Jay Lenos, etc but the show didn’t last very long. Although Jon Stewart’s show didn’t last long on MTV, he’s doing very well in 2011 with The Daily Show. In this rare footage from Biggie’s performance on the show he performs the So So Def Remix to “Big Poppa” along with Lil Cease & Puffy backed by a live back. I love it when vintage clips like these surface.
