“When They See Us” was conceptualized and co-written by Ava DuVernay for Netflix and it is coming to take hearts and minds and twist them… to make us feel everything the falsely accused (and eventually exonerated) Central Park Five.
Just LOOK at who is attached. The exec producers (Oprah Winfrey, Robert De Niro) all the through to casting (Michael K. Williams, John Leguizamo, Felicity Huffman, Niecy Nash, Blair Underwood)… they will draw MILLIONS of viewers! We must learn. ALL of us.
Based on a true story that gripped the country, “When They See Us” will chronicle the notorious case of five teenagers of color, labeled the Central Park Five, who were convicted of a rape they did not commit. The four-part limited series will focus on the five teenagers from Harlem — Antron McCray, Kevin Richardson, Yusef Salaam, Raymond Santana, and Korey Wise. Beginning in the spring of 1989, when the teenagers were first questioned about the incident, the series will span 25 years, highlighting their exoneration in 2002 and the settlement reached with the city of New York in 2014.
“When They See Us” premieres May 31 only on Netflix.

Anarchy (Trailer)
Solid ensemble cast. Compelling story. The trailer above is teasing some must-see viewing. Might have to get in a theater seat this Spring to catch a first showing.
[“Anarchy” is] a gritty story of a take-no-prisoners war between dirty cops and an outlaw biker gang. Now, a drug kingpin (Ed Harris) is driven to desperate measures in this explosive film based on Shakespeare’s “Cymbeline.”
