Kojoe – “The J Mixtape”
FLUD has teamed up with Japanese Hip Hop artist Kojoe to present “The ‘J’ Mixtape”, now available on FludWatches.com and DatPiff websites. Kojoe is making a name for himself in the music industry after only 2 years back in his homeland. The bi-lingual emcee & songwriter is also an executive of On Records a Nagoya, Japan based label. Born Sakata Koichiro, Kojoe has embarked on the daunting task of pushing cultural, business, and language barriers by propelling himself as a Hip Hop/Soul artist in 2 critical markets: Japan and in the U.S. You can listen or download the mixtape from the links below or just click on the artwork…
New Music: Kojoe – ‘May Day’
Japanese hip hop artist Kojoe drops this new joint called ‘May Day’ which is the first single from the upcoming ‘Mixed Identities 1.5’ mixtape due this year. Â The project continues with the ‘Mixed Identities’ concept which is relative to Kojoe’s upbringing as a native Japanese Hip Hop artist who has also spent time in Queens & was at one time signed to Rawkus Records. Â The original concept is also evident in his decision to continue to rhyme in both Japanese & English & yet & still sound cohesive for hip hop fans from the ‘Far East Coast’ to the East Coast of the U.S. to still fully vibe with it. Â The track was produced by J. Cardim who’s done work with Joe Budden, Lil Wayne, Little Brother, Akon, Ludacris, Saigon, & many other notables in the rap game stateside. I also reposted one of my favorite joints from Kojoe called ‘Paper’ as a bonus track as well. Â Make sure you check out his website IAMKOJOE.COM & peep the tracks….
