Rapsody – “Godzilla” (Video)
There’s a worldwide alert for “Godzilla” right now, but he’s not attacking the coasts of Japan. The gigantic Godzilla sound is coming all the way from South Africa by way of North Carolina as 9th Wonder & his first lady of Jamla, Rapsody, dropped the new visuals for the track that appears on her latest release ‘Beauty & The Beast’ that’s out now. Godzilla himself would approve of these monster beats.

Stream it and get it now, below.
Buckshot – “At Night” (3am Sh*t) [Prod. By 9th Wonder]
Brooklyn & North Kakalaka reconnect on this very dope ‘At Night’ joint that could have been just some ‘3am sh*t’ Buckshot & 9th Wonder put together at the last minute over a flipped Teddy P sample. Look for more bangers like this on the “Jamla Is The Squad” album dropping tomorrow January 28th hosted by Statik Selektah.

LISTEN: TALIB KWELI, ELZHI, & PHONTE – NO COMPETITION (PROD. BY KHRYSIS)
Talib Kweli, Elzhi, & Phonte – “No Competition” (Prod. By Khrysis)
You can’t go wrong with these four individuals all on one track. The superior lyricism of Phonte, Elzhi, & Talib Kweli coupled with an ill beat from Khrysis makes this joint nothing but strait fiyah. I can’t wait to play this on my radio show Saturday night. This brand new banger is off of the upcoming ‘Jamla Is The Squad’ compilation that’s dropping on January 28th.

Sean Boog – “Sean Boogie Nights” (Video)
Sean Boog…where have we heard that name? Well, among other places, here (with Rapsody and Khrysis)…a few days ago! Okay, here he goes IN, again; North Carolina Producer/Emcee Sean Boog with “Sean Boogie Nights.” Nice production on this joint by Ka$h (of The Soul Council). Hot video direction by Kenneth Price (Price Films). Loved the flash-in-flash-out cameos from Jamla Records fam (Rapsody et al). Solid work. SOLID! By the way, the LP (also entitled “Sean Boogie Nights”) is due out tomorrow (July 10, 2012)!

Sean Boog – “A Love Never Dies” feat. Rapsody & Khrysis
North Carolina producer & emcee Sean Boog releases the first single to his upcoming project ‘Sean Boogie Nights’ dropping July 10th. Representing 1/2 of the group The Away Team, he grabs his rhyme & producing partner Khrysis to spit over this “A Love Never Dies” track produced by 9th Wonder & adds a female voice to it with Rapsody. I can always tell when something is dope if I rewind it back a few times & this was one of those types of songs….

Rapsody – ‘ABC’ (Video)
New track from Rapsody from her For Everything project which is out now.
Rapsody – “All Black Everything” (Video)
North Carolina’s own Rapsody drops a new video for “All Black Everything” from her latest project “For Everything”. I know Rapsody is & has mentioned often that she’s inspired by Jay-Z, but lately I’ve been feeling like she’s mimicking him a little too much. Even with this song title “All Black Everything” which is a phrase Jay has been promoting for a minute. It’s ok to be inspired by other artists, but don’t lose your own voice & style in the process. It’s a turn-off to your OWN growing fanbase in my opinion. I know this is random, but fellow Jamla artist Heather Victoria appearing in the video at the :37mark gave me a slight heart murmur. On another rather ironic note, this “All Black Everything” video was directed by the talented AND white Kenneth Price & produced by the equally as dope & white Eric G. Hahaaa!
GQ – Trouble Man (EP)
This joint comes to us by way of 9th Wonder’s JAMLA label. This artist is former UNC basketball player from Oakland Quentin Thomas aka GQ. This joint features production from The Soul Council and features the Jamla family. Here is a standout track from the jam.
