The AFI LIFE ACHIEVEMENT AWARD: A TRIBUTE TO DENZEL WASHINGTON aired on Thursday, June 20, at 10:00 PM (ET/PT) on TNT. Sister network Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will also air the special in October 2019, during a night of programming dedicated to Washington’s work.

Halfway through watching this, you might have your mind made up as to whether or not Starr (with two r’s) should speak up… but keep watching. You KNOW it is not that cut-and-dry, and this trailer bears that out. Looks like a good flick to catch. In Theaters October 19, 2018.

I am withholding judgment overall; some things going on this season I can f**ks with, other stuff not so much… But I am not sure if one of those not-so-much things will trigger a permanent Sunday night channel change for me. We’ll see.
