Well Kendrick Lamar continues to win in 2015. Â His critically acclaimed album “To Pimp A Butterfly”is selling like Rap albums did back in the 90’s and has helped to reinvigorate the conversation about doing a complete work rather than just catchy singles. Â Now add to the list he has been recognized as a “Generational Icon” by the California Senate and was awarded on the Senate floor. Â This was organized by fellow Compton native Sen. Isadore Hall III who introduced Kendrick to the Senate Floor and presented the award. Â Kendrick along with his fiancee Whitney Alford were there to accept the award and thank the Senate for the distinguished honor.
