“This was one of the 1st “BoomTrap” beats I’ve ever made (created almost 3 years ago).
Since then, it’s gone through many transitions, different song ideas with a handful of different artists. The only other person who has this beat is my homie Just Blaze. You may or may not remember him playing this beat for Blackthought to freestyle over, on the Combat Jack Show last year.
I wanted to finally put this beat out, in its rawest form, for the masses to hear.

Rough going at first (you’ll see); but he pulls out the banger in the end. !llmind is one of my favorite producers these days. I don’t think there’s anyone who can successfully fuse the boom bap & trap worlds together so effectively & consistently.

My brother put me onto this video from this group Sun Zoo. I believe this is a Phillipino hip hop group reppin’ with that Pinoy influence. When the video began to play I immediately recognized the talented producer illmind on the keyboards. After listening to the first emcees lyrics he mentions that illmind produced it. iLLmind hasn’t been associated with anything wack as of late & this joint right here is no different. Damn near everything he’s been involved with has been banging. The female in the group Tasha definitely shines too with the ill flow & lyricism. I’m not surprised that illmind is produced this joint because everything he’s been involved with has been bangin.
