Oddisee Talks ‘The Good Fight’, Opportunity To Work with Dr. Dre’s Aftermath & Being True To Himself (Video)
In today’s scope of Hip Hop most artists seek out the limelight and love talking about how well they are doing. The Artist/Producer Oddisee is quite the opposite is he dedicated to his craft and concerned with being the best performer he can be absolutely. Â Does he concern himself with the fact he might not get certain props or being tracked down by certain rappers for beats negative. Â Oddisee has a new album out “The Good Fight” and it is a self produced album exhibiting some of his best work (my personal opinion). Â He recently sat down with Rosenberg at Hot 97 to discuss what he has been up to.

Jamie Foxx Speaks On Getting Busted Looking at Michelle Obama’s Butt, Sex with Oprah, & Meeting Mike Tyson (Video)
Jamie Foxx’s stories about his life as a celebrity, wild parties, people he’s met, & just life in general are always hilarious. It just never gets old even if he’s told some of those same stories on television & other media outlets, including his own The Foxxhole channel 96 on Sirius XM radio before. Jamie Foxx will be playing Mike Tyson in a new film about the prolific fighter’s life, but I would love to eventually see the story about Jamie Foxx’s life down the road. Check out the hilarious & insightful interview from HOT 97 in New York above.
Macklemore Speaks On Race, Injustice, Kendrick, Iggy And More (Video)
You’re here now. Like lots of blogs, trying to title these things in an eye-catching way AND have something posted worthwhile is a challenge to say the least.
“Silence is an action…”
– Macklemore
He said that. The epitome of pop White rap success said that. But trust he is NOT silent in this video. DEEP conversation on all that is promised in the title. But PLEASE do not play this to check for the names you saw. That’s for the search engines. Watch and listen for perspective and to gain insight. Respect Ebro and Macklemore for this engaging discussion.
Azealia Banks Speaks The Raw And Real On Grand Hustle Family, T.I., Iggy Azalea, Black Music And More (Video)
I honestly don’t know much about Azealia Banks’ music, but I’ve seen her commentary on twitter about quite a number of things & I’ve often retweeted a few things she said on social media that proved to me that she’s wise & aware beyond her 23 years. When I saw everyone talking about her recent interview it piqued my interest to see what the fuss was about. After watching this interview I’m more of a fan of Azealia Banks the person even though I’m not too familiar with her music.

The importance of battle rap has never left us real fans that appreciate emcees, but it’s great to see a resurgence in it’s popularity as more money is being put behind it. Cassidy is participating in a big money battle with Toronto rapper Dizaster & everybody has been talking about it for months now. Check out this really good interview with Cassidy as he details everything from his situation with Meek Mill, the politics of the music industry, his history,& the pay-per-view battle versus Dizaster taking place later today, December 6th, at 6pm EST/ 3pm PST.

T-Pain Talks About Spending Over $2.4 Million Dollars In Strip Clubs (Video)
Daaaaamn! T-Pain wildin’ (hope that money’s pilin’)! I mean… What man doesn’t like going to strip clubs every now & then to have a drink with friends? But even a multi-multi-millionaire or even a billionaire has gotta say to himself, “There’s no way to make sense of spending millions of my dollars in strip clubs! I gotta chill.” And what about buddies? Ain’t no other ballers rolling with him to throw some piles on all them azz taxes? And what about wifey? Pain said she likes to go, too. Cool; no doubt, very cool. But ya gotta wonder if she ever nudged her man on some save-some-for-Mami’s-g-string *ish. Hmmm, wifey’s a cutie (see after the jump). Wonder where she’d fit on the Universal Hot-Crazy Matrix?
Check out the full interview from New York’s at Hot 97. Fun watch.

DJ Mister Cee Opens Up About His Sexuality In New Public Service Announcement (Video)
The controversy surrounding famed NY radio host DJ Mister Cee had less to do with his sexuality than it did with him lying to himself, his family, & his fans. I believe most people will accept you for who you are if you are just honest about it, but you can’t expect the media & fans to leave you alone when you’re a very public figure who has been arrested repeatedly for soliciting male prostitutes in the news. The most powerful thing DJ Mister Cee has done up to this point is this new public service announcement encouraging people to get tested. There are many women who become at risk because guys like DJ Mister Cee choose not to be honest with their significant others in their lives. Many of us understand his reasons for not being forthcoming, but there are literally thousands of people contracting STD’s simply because their partners weren’t honest about their behavior.  At least now we can applaud DJ Mister Cee for being honest with his friends, fans, & supporters & for making the right moves to help save lives & bring about more awareness. B.O.B. vs. Hot 97 NYC (Video)
I’ve been in radio for 20 years & have interviewed many artists who have stopped by my radio show but most of the time when those artists get larger they never come back or send a thank you unless their careers are falling off & they are trying to reconnect with their original fans & supporters.
I never felt like B.O.B. was only reaching for a pop audience but I can understand 1000% what HOT 97’s program director Ebro is talking about because it happens all the time to me on the radio station I’m on.
The Best Of Ghostface x Raekwon Mix By DJ Mister Cee On Hot 97

Makes you wish more commercial radio stations around the country allowed their DJ’s to get busy with real music like this. Listen or download the joint below…

Nas Speaks On His Grammy Nominations, CNN Calling Him The Best Lyricist Ever, & Being Motivated For A New Album (Video)
It’s been pretty good year for Nas musically & 2013 is starting just as good. Nas has been nominated for 4 Grammy Awards (18 over his entire career), CNN made a case for Nas being the best hip hop lyricist ever, & things in his life appear to be making a turn for the better following public divorce from Kelis. Nas stopped by the Angie Martinez show on Hot97 in New York for her birthday & gifted her with a very good interview in which he speaks upon the Grammy noms, CNN’s accolades, mending his friendship with his ex-wife, & how everything that’s happened has motivated him musically.
