Cassidy – “R.A.I.D.” (Robert Ass Is Dead) [Meek Mill Diss]
Cassidy flips a variety of popular beats for this 10 minute diss record aimed at Meek Mill. When it comes to ‘lyrical battle bars’ there’s no doubt that I knew Cassidy was gonna body this before I even heard it. Many ill lines in this joint right here serving as a swift counterpunch to Meek Mill’s ‘Repo’ diss record aimed at Cassidy. Crazy!
LISTEN: MEEK MILL – “REPO” | CASSIDY – “ME, MYSELF, & MY IPHONE”
Raekwon – “Neither One Of Us”
Raekwon keeps it soulful with these darts he’s been throwing out every few days. This time he finds inspiration from Gladys Knight’s classic “Neither One Of Us” as fans get ready for him to drop his “Lost Jewelry” EP on January 8th. Makes me want to head on down to Gladys Knights Chicken & Waffles in downtown Atlanta right now….. “We’ll Break Your Legs For Steak & Eggs….” – Raekwon

Meek Mill’s Artist ‘Lil Snupe’ Battles DeSean Jackson’s Artist ‘Retro’ For $10,000 (Video)
“After T.I.’s private listening party at Sigma Sounds (located in Philadelphia, Pa) there was a rap battle. The battle was between Meek Mill’s Dream Chasers artist Lil Snupe (from Louisiana) against Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson‘s Jaccpot artist Retro (from West Philly). Meek Mill and DeSean put up $10,000 each on their artist. While T.I., Eagles quarterback Michael Vick, Trae Tha Truth and T.I.’s cousin Rashad (who the movie ATL is based on). Everyone agreed to 5 rounds of rapping for the two artists. At the end, when all of the judges expressed why they chose Lil Snupe (Dream Chasers) the winner, DeSean Jackson left the room. Redman – “White People Are Rioting Freestyle” (Video)
The Funk Doc aka Redman gets busy for about 2 minutes over this Erick Sermon produced joint called “White People Are Rioting”. Reggie Noble’s next project THWD is on the way but for now those of you with melanin need to don helmets & riot gear or just get down with the wildin’ white folks over Redman’s ill riot inciting bars.

Yasiin Bey (Mos Def)- “I Don’t Like”
Yasiin Bey, the artist formerly known as Mos Def, adds some substance to the content deficient & lyrically weak “I Don’t like” record. Same big beat bang bang for this hypetrak, but the truth & passion in Yasiin’s words will give you something to think about. Bang Bang!

Kendrick Lamar Freestyles on ‘The Ricky Smiley Morning Show’ (Video)
My homie Headkrack is a co-host on ‘The Rickey Smiley Morning Show’ on Hot 107.9 FM (Atlanta) & a skilled emcee in his own right. I chuckled to myself watching the video as Headkrack called out a rapper from St. Louis **Cough Nelly Cough*** who didn’t want to freestyle on the show, but their guest in the studio this particular day was not just some ‘ol basic rapper. Headkrack managed to coerce Kendrick Lamar to spit a very dope of-the-top freestyle while live on air. Good job, man. Kendrick, too. Hahaaaa! Now this is a true & perfect example of the difference between a rapper and an emcee.

Raekwon – “Don’t Look Any Further” Freestyle
With an EP coming by year end 2012, and a full-length release dropping next year, you’d think Raekwon would chill for a bit. But like they say, the Sun don’t chill. Check out this freestyle over the old Dennis Edwards track, “Don’t Look Any Further.” Nice! Download the freestyle for FREE (make your own puns) here.

Game – Cough Up A Lung Freestyle (Video)
As he prepares to release his next project Jesus Piece, Compton emcee Game took some time out while in New York City during the Superstorm Sandy weather plaguing the area to drop this “Cough Up A Lung” acapella freestyle. There are notable shots directed towards Shyne for dissing fellow West Coast emcee Kendrick Lamar & shots at rapper 40 Glocc who threatened to sue Game for this videotaped beat down. Hurricane Game’s next project Jesus Piece drops December 11th.

Will Smith Freestyles At Gabrielle Union’s Birthday Party (Video)
Does The Fresh Prince (aka Will Smith) still have mic skills? Oh hell yeah! Check out Philly royalty wrecking it as he raps a taste, accompanied by beatbox legend Doug E. Fresh, at Gabrielle Union’s 40th birthday party. Dopenesss!
CyHi The Prynce – “James Harden” Freestyle
Okay. Underrated at first; now first off the bench with with a premier squad, CyHi The Prynce could be considered the “James Harden” of his team – G.O.O.D. Music. Drafted third overall in the 2009 NBA Draft, the Oklahoma City Thunder sixth man Harden is a fitting metaphor for CyHi at this point in his career. He “might not be the richest” but he definitely “ain’t starving.” More than that, emcees that come at CyHi weak can end up getting straight embarrassed in this game called Hip-Hop! Stream the Harden-inspired freestyle here.
Beanie Sigel – Show N Off Freestyle (Video)
Beanie Sigel! Beanie Sigel! Beanie Sigel! Damn, Beans. In for the bid, and though I am loving this dopeness, fans (and I) would really rather have you out and upright. Okay, y’all… click play and witness evidence – in this “Show N Off” Freestyle – why Beanie Sigel is STILL one of the greats of grime rhyme. My opinion.
J-Lie – “Popped Off” Freestyle (Video)
Representing hotness from ATL.A, a combination of Atlanta and Los Angeles, J-Lie brings that heat! Evidence? Got it. Peep the video. Sure the video features nice cars and kicks, but the lyrics…sick! After watching the “Popped Off” Freestyle video (by Fresh Start Productions), grab the entire mixtape “Ears First, Hearts Next” via download from JLieMusic.com.

Skillz – “Good Evening Freestyle”
Skillz recently celebrated another born day so he let loose this freestyle over Mac Miller’s ‘Good Evening’ instrumental. The song was released with the help of the DMV’s resident radio DJ & air-personality DJ Money. The track fits Skillz well & lyrically you already know the Virginia emcee does what he does better than most lyricists in the game still…..

Game Performs ‘It Ain’t Hard To Tell’ Freestyle With Nas In L.A. (Video)
While out in Los Angeles the other night, Nas was out at the Supper Club & Game joined him onstage to rock a freestyle over Nas’s classic “It Ain’t Hard To Tell” record. The video could use some light, but this will do. Props to Hip Hop N More.
Consequence – “Killer Instinct” (It Ain’t Hard To Tell Freestyle)
It appears Consequence may have decided to capitalize on the recent success of Nas’s VH1 Behind The Music special & hop on Nas’s classic instrumental for “It Ain’t Hard To Tell”. It’s crazy because I remember when a few magazine’s back in the day were making statements that Consequence was that next dude to reach Nas’s status. The skills never left the Cons but everything else is the just the ebb & flows of the music ‘business’. Flash forward to 2012 & it’s obvious Consequence may not be on Nas’s level in the public eye but this other kid from Queens skills haven’t left him for fans who still enjoy lyrics & clever wordplay.

Sheek Louch x Ghostface Killah – “Batman”
Not sure who’s playing the role of Batman or his evil nemesis Bane on this freestyle joint from Sheek Louch & Ghostface but neither one of them come off as the Robin sidekick lyrically. Check out this joint they let loose as ‘Pretty Tony’ & ‘Donnie G’ continue to build anticipation with the fans for the upcoming Wu-Block project. Unlike Ghostface’s musical appearance in Marvel’s Iron Man movie, don’t expect this freestyle to appear on the soundtrack to the upcoming “Dark Knight Rises” flick starring Christian Bale this summer….
