Freeway X Jeezy? (Video)
Who knows if this is just chatter or if its real, but I don’t feel like Free needs a label situation with CTE or a major. He has made his moves after the Roc broke up and has been able to eat. If they do pursue signing him I’m sure he has the leverage at this point to make it worth while.

Kendrick Lamar and Freddie Gibbs link with Sway to teach us Ghostwriting 101. I think not writing music makes you less of an artist and more of a performer. I don’t think one is better than the other but there are a lot of performers calling themselves artists.

Freddie Gibbs & Statik Selektah Plan To Record Album In 24 Hours
New CTE (Jeezy’s Corporate Thugz Entertainment) signee Freddie Gibbs studio album has been pushed back or shelved but he is still working on new music as he preps for the latest Statik Selektah 24-hour project following in the footsteps of Saigon and Freeway who also did 24 hour projects with Statik. The Indiana rapper’s project will be called Lord Giveth, Lord Taketh Away and will be recorded June 24th at Statik Selektah’s home studio in Brooklyn and released 2 days later on the 24th. The recording process will be broadcast live on Ustream is what Statik told his followers from his twitter after he heard Gibbs telling folks he had a mixtape in the works. This should be really dope if its anything like the last few Statik Selektah projects.
Self Scientific feat. Krondon & Freddie Gibbs – ‘Peaceful’ (Video)
“Composed of a strong partnership between the lyrically prolific Chace Infinite and Grammy award winning producer, DJ Khalil, Self Scientific definitely makes a strong statement and gets Freddie Gibbs to add some southern-fried no-pork spit to the track along with L.A. veteran and Strong Arm Steady hook-minister, Krondon. The video is directed by The ICU and explores the historic scene of the 1992 L.A. riot that rocked South Central and includes various footage from the incredibly unjust lynching of Oscar Grant by the Oakland BART police.” -BlowhiphopTV

The Kid Daytona drops a new video for the Dr. Dre Chronic inspired ‘Take Aim’ which appears on his Interlude project that dropped a few months ago. He manages to make sure Freddie Gibbs & Alex of the KickDrums make their appearances in the clip as well. The video is directed by Derek Pike who’s been killing it with many of the visuals for 9th Wonder’s team of artists on IWWMG. Make sure you watch the video to the very end. I let out a little chuckle after it.
