Dilated Peoples Continue Going ‘Deep’ Until Their Focus Is ‘Found’ (Video)

Well, well. Turns out that the “Finding Focus” clip posted a week or so ago was just the beginning of a three-parter. No problem catching up (if you haven’t already)…just play part 2 (“Deep Focus”) above and part 3 (“Focus Found”) after the jump and you are up to speed. On deck for the discussion: Part 2 goes deep indeed, with each member of Dilated Peoples musing about their music making process coming from a major label environment to going the Indie route; pro and con. Aptly titled “Finding Focus” the quintessential West Coast true school Hip-Hop act is back with “Directors of Photography” – their new album due out August 12, 2014. Pre-orders are available via iTunes now. So is this clip from their ‘Word Of Mouth’ Tour with Jurassic 5, featuring comments from Evidence, Rakaa (Iriscience) and DJ Babu… speaking on the group’s evolution and how they got it together after eight years to put out a new project outside the big label world (now with Rhymesayers Entertainment).
