It really is amazing when you sit back & think of just how far Fat Joe has come & how he’s still going in this music business. Never been the most crazy lyrical cat in the game, but he definitely has an ear for beats & new young hungry producers like Mark Henry who produced this “So Fly” joint from his The Darkside II Mixtape that’s out now. It’s as clear as day that Fat Joe simply continues to make good records over the years. Not mad at all with this new video either….

Fat Joe Says The First Time He Met Al Sharpton He Called Him ‘N*gga’ (Video)

Fat Joe says in this interview that he believes everyone should be able to use the word “N*gga”. I understand the connected history of Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, Jamaicans, Haitians & other brothas & sistas from the islands with African ancestry, but I don’t believe it’s for everyone to be saying. The average white person saying “Wasup My N*gga?!” with whom I don’t know would strike a nerve with me. I don’t agree with Fat Joe entirely, but he’s entitled to his opinion. The really eye opening part of this story is when Fat Joe speaks on his first time ever meeting the Reverend Al Sharpton.

Fat Joe Speaks On Mister Cee & Homosexuality In Hip Hop (Video)

In a recent interview Fat Joe spoke on his belief that the entertainment industry is run by a gay mafia. (Can’t say I don’t disagree with him either). The “Don Cartegena” also spoke briefly on the Mister Cee situation, says he believes he has worked with closeted gay rappers before & spoke on his beliefs on homosexuality in the entertainment industry from pro sports to music & film. I agree with Fat Joe’s comments about the entertainment industry & about these guys hiding who they are to the public. Peep the interview…No homo.

Fat Joe is back with a new single featuring Chris Brown that’s definitely geared to the ladies. I believe this new joint called “Another Round” is a bonafide hit record primarily because savvy music heads can pick up the subtle influence from a previous hit record. I believe many brothers may dig this joint if they’re old enough to remember the classic Troop joint I Will Always Love You. It sounds like they either sampled the Troop record or was influenced by that classic R&B record from that first dropped back in 1989.

Fat Joe seeing that many of his friends are having health difficulties tied to their weight decided to start a new diet and exercise regiment. His diet consisted of 6 small and healthy meals each day and it helped him to drop 88 pounds. In a article at the NY Daily News Joey says:
“I’m addicted to food; I love food,” said Fat Joe, whose real name is Joe Cartagena. “It’s like a crack addict – he hits rock bottom and he says, ‘All right, forget it. I’m not going to get high anymore.'”

They discuss how Lil Fame studied DJ Premier heavily before actually meeting him, how Fat Joe’s brand new whip was stolen in Brooklyn, & also discussed an altercation that almost went down the first time they met Freddie Foxx. I’m not mad at another one those gangsta tales from the gods except for the fact that I feel Raekwon should’ve spit a few bars over the track. His rant at the end is funny as hell thou! haha
