Eternia and Phoenix Pagliacci had to check back in with a video for such dopeness – “For This Life” (audio link via earlier post on here below).
The unofficial video pays homage to Toronto’s Annual Manifesto Festival of Community Arts & Culture which has provided a major platform for Eternia, Phoenix Pagliacci and many other Canadian Hip-Hop acts. The footage was captured during MNFSTO 2010 and 2013’s Ladies Cipher at Yonge & Dundas Square in the heart of downtown Toronto.
And this is the ‘unofficial’ video?? Well, alright then. Oh, and whatever Tara Chase was spitting near the end looked like pure FIRE!

This is a Hip-Hop sermonette. Obviously, this previously unreleased “SCRAPS” was shared to bless listeners (given the message below and that it’s FREE, sure… but wait until you play this jawn).
I heard this beat playing while praying at City Lights in Toronto.
I wrote this entire song the same night, and recorded it the following afternoon.

The hook has been playing over and over in my mind lately, even though I haven’t been listening to the song at all.

Lately I have been hearing a lot of really good hip hop from female artists. This is a duo from Texas coming with quality production and vicious lyrics. Actually I been hearing these ladies spit better and harder bars than a lot of the male emcee’s. Don’t sleep, these ain’t the typical sexed out, scantly dressed, sell my body, shake my ass for props hip hop from the ladies you maybe used to. Viscous Cycle, along with the likes of Dynasty, Boog Brown, Natee, Stahhr, Sa-Roc, Jean Grae, Eternia, Tiye Phoniex are tearin’ verses to shreads over gutter beats. Yo these ladies swords are sharp…so you better protect yo neck!!
