Activism: Real Justice PAC’s Grassroots Effort To Reboot The U.S. Justice System

Mass incarceration… mass victimization inflicted on us by unfair, overreaching law enforcement and an unjust judiciary. You KNOW the story. You (and/or someone you love) has LIVED the story. You’ve cried, as have we; and cried out, “ENOUGH.” But then what? Then ACTION, that’s what!
Real Justice PAC (Political ACTION Committee) is a grassroots political team determined to reimagine and completely overhaul America’s justice system. How? Glad you asked. Real Justice PAC’s Shaun King hit the inbox with much much-needed info, including an ACTION plan.
Our nation has 2,400 elected prosecutors. Not thousands, but millions and millions of cases come through 2,400 officers every single year. And it is these elected prosecutors who decide not just whether or not violent or corrupt cops are prosecuted, but these prosecutors decide how seriously to take those cases and how many staff members to put on them.
These prosecutors are 95% white, 81% male, and only 1% of them are women of color. They are also, as you can imagine, overwhelmingly conservative. Hundreds of them are effectively serving what amounts to unofficial lifetime appointments because they basically run unopposed term after term. Some of these prosecutors have been in office for over 30 years.
And they wouldn’t know a serious challenge if it smacked them in the face.
That’s where we come in.
No position in all of politics is more overdue for a complete reboot than that of America’s 2,400 District Attorneys. It’s ripe for innovation.
What We’re Demanding from District Attorneys:
1. Ensure that everyone is treated equally under the law
2. End the War on Drugs.
3. Promote Transparency and Accountability.
4. Promote Policies that Aid Undocumented Communities.
5. Make Punishment Fair.

Bwaaahahaa! Okay, ‘Beelzebub’ aka ‘Old Scratch’ finally gives his official #Campaign2016 endorsment. Satan is stumping for Trump! But the funniest thing is that he opens with wording that sounds like it was taken straight from campaign scripting.
Donald Trump is the only candidate running who has the business savvy and proven leadership skills to keep the Democrats out of the Whitehouse and lead this country…
Yep. ‘Lucifer’ obviously lifted some wording straight from the RNC speechwriters’ notes. Don’t hate. Then again, he is ‘The Devil’ so…

Politics: Killer Mike Endorses Bernie Sanders For President (Video)

If you lean to the left (e.g. are likely to vote Democrat in the coming 2016 U.S. election), you should be gathering information and forming impressions NOW. Because before you know it, you will have a decision to make. Every person who has ever run for office has understood that, in order to win, she or he must be supported and admired (and hated) by the right people. So, if you’re thinking Hilary Clinton’s the one, I hope you are learning who is for and against her. Alternatively, if you are taking a hard look at Bernie Sanders – “feeling the Bern” as it were – then you should take a look at the clip above. We KNOW you love Hip-Hop and the Culture if you come to this site often. But maybe “Politics As Usual” has soured you on voting (or even caring). I hope you read my VOTE DAMMIT! posts on here (whether you lean left or right). But maybe they don’t fire you up. But this vid… this vid right here… Just play it. Watch Killer Kill From Adamsville, and it will GIVE YOU BACK YOUR FIRE and make you care about the fight again. In a most powerful way, his speech above makes it clear: Killer Mike Endorses Bernie Sanders, the next President of the United States!
Now sure, you will make your own decision in that ballot box, but a candidate is known and judged by the company she or he keeps; and the enemies she or he makes. Do your research. Who is in who’s corner? What fights is your candidate picking? I’m not sure I completely #FeelTheBern yet, but the temperature is rising.
Oh, and just in case you are thinking this is just more ‘politicking’ peep after the jump. The whole event, including what Bernie Sanders has to say (and eat).
