What with all the very well documented animosity Eminem held for his mom – expressed in song via cuts put out over the years – if ever he was to ‘reconcile’ on wax, it’d be major. Major enough to enlist filmmaker Spike Lee to do a video for it! Well, enough of the preamble and ramble. This sounded like it was recorded at low volume, but turn it up a bit and really listen. This is a historical gem. Footage of a 1999 interview of Ice-T by Julio G of KDAY. He spoke on his history (getting into Hip-Hop, bonds with artists including early ties with Eminem), on his rock group Body Count, on a string of albums (starting in 1982), and more. Great viewing!

Eminem has released his single “Berzerk” and followed up immediately with this crazy azz video. With Beastie samples and riffs in there a cameo from Rick Rubin is only right (check). It’d make sense to put Slaughterhouse fam in there somewhere, too. Doing it for Detroit… so throw a Kid Rock cameo in there, too. Kendrick Lamar… The Alchemist… alright, no real logic there but logic isn’t what this joint is about. This single is a taste of what’s to come on “The Marshall Mathers LP 2” (due out November 5, 2013).

Eminem x Yelawolf Cover Vibe Magazine’s Year End Issue

Eminem & Yelawolf are the cover subjects of Vibe Magazine’s year end issue that hits newsstands December 6th. A second cover for the magazine will feature T.I. later. This is great timing for Yelawolf as he’s about to drop his debut album “Radioactive” on Eminem’s Shady 2.0. I’m not surprised because unlike many other rappers in the game who supposedly sign artists, Eminem has historically done a great job in helping his artists succeed. In the Vibe Magazine article they speak on everything from the issue of race, rappers using the N-word, & how they both dealt with drug addition in their lives.
